I never leave without my growler full of beer! They all taste great! Sparkles in the "bog juice" are a favorite too! Food never disappoints, specials are creative and always delicious! Atmosphere is always inviting from accessibility to open mic night. Owners and all staff are always willing to share some time for an even better experience!Kid-friendliness: Crayons and games to keep kids busy. Open lines of sight so parents can keep a watchful eye too.Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible, with 2 grandchildren in wheelchairs we never had any issues!

Great food and service. The seltzer bar is awesome. If you prefer seltzers with actual flavor you can taste this is the way. They have easily 15 different flavors you can mix and match to make your own tastes!

The service was ok…the food was ok…a little over priced since it doesn’t come with sides…the kids menu was reasonably priced….the sodas were horrible in my opinion but my kids loved them…the best part was the nice little kids area…that part was a hit !!

I've eaten here twice on visits to Rising Sun. The service is always friendly. They have a wide selection of their brews but not to an overwhelming extent. The food is delicious with very limited options for vegetarians but I feel that their food is overpriced, especially when they charge a fifty-cent premium EACH for ketchup or mustard on a five dollar hot dog! There is a decent play area for the kids where parents can keep an eye on them. The overall ambiance is warm and welcoming, kind of with a ski-lodge feel to it. There is a small parking lot in the back, street parking out front, and a community parking lot a half-block away across the street.

Food is great, beer is great, staff is awesome. Live music on the weekends and great weekly specials. They brew their own seltzer and then add gourmet flavors for anyone who doesn't like beer. They also use their seltzer to make adult slushies. Love this place!Kid-friendliness: Nice atmosphere

This place is wonderful! Warm, family friendly, and so inviting. We had a large party (11) and found Bog Turtle Brewery unexpectedly after enjoying the Zoo Lights at Plumpton Zoo. We fully expected to have to break up, but the owner pulled a table together so that we could all sit together. They had games for the kids (Connect 4, a video game machine, Jenga, etc.) that kept them busy and entertained. The food and drinks hit the spot (try the vanilla porter!!), and the welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff made our night all the more special. As a group we don't have the chance to get together as often as we'd like due to geography. Having an experience like this meant more than I can say.

We came to the Bog Turtle on a random Tuesday night after driving through the Herr's potato chips factory Christmas light display. It was only another 15 minutes past Herr's and the reviews were stellar. We ordered some beers, it's really refreshing to see breweries that brew for the season, not just pump out hazy IPAs. We ordered a brown ale and a red ale, both were top notch! So glad I remembered to grab our growler before we left the house. We were able to take home a delicious 64oz of beer to have later. I ordered the chicken and waffles... One of the best versions of this classic I've had. Came with a blueberry sauce and the hostess suggested I get some hot sauce too... Perfect sweet, spicy, crunchy chicken over a pillowy waffle. Daughter got the kids chicken sandwich and everyone else got specials. It was a delicious meal. Nothing fancy but really tasty. They had trivia going on the big projector but we didn't partake. They had a small stage with toys on it where my daughter played and did some coloring before our food came out. The staff was super friendly, and was able to satisfy all of our questions about the menu and offer suggestions when people were on the fence. I do not see us coming back often however if we are even remotely close to the bog turtle I'm going to be sure we stop in!

Our waitress never put our order in. We tried to get her attention and she sent another waitress over. That waitress was pleasant and said she must have forgot. We are local and wanted to like this place. We didn’t feel welcome
