We travelled back home to enjoy good food with friends local to the area. The restaurant was all decked out with holiday decor and the dinner did not disappoint ! The attentive server was cheerful and didn't mind us taking our time to 'catch up' as we stayed several hours. Those in our party enjoyed the red wine and cocktails served. The food came hot and tasty. Our favorites were the captain's cut steak with sides, fajita grilled, chicken salad and the linguini Alfredo. There was a small plumming problem in the men's room but restrooms were clean. We will be back and would recommend their nice, casual atmosphere !

Tried Bucks tonight for the first time since it changed hands . Appetizers were amazing, we had the nachos and mozzarella sticks [best I've had]. We also had the chicken Chesapeake, fajita chicken salad and crab bisque ... Everything was amazing and the service was great .. our server was coral and she was great !!!

We went for the Thanksgiving buffet and the food was absolutely disgusting. Each item tasted the same, as if they were all cooked in the same pot. Cheese raviolis did not even have any sauce on them.We will NEVER go back! Frankly, one star is being generous since it truly should be a negative number!!

We were in the area so my fiance and I stopped in to give the place a try. We both started with a cup of crab bisque and it was heavenly. For our meals he got chicken parm and i got fish and chips. His chicken parm was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and my fish was the same, with 3 truly THICK filets of cod. Our waitress Shawna was phenomenal, too. Don't miss this place as you drive by; definitely worth the stop!

We have gone to Bucks for many years for a good meal at a reasonable price but never again. At my suggestion, 4 of our friends and the two of us met here before a nearby show. We were shown to our reserved table right away, but that was the highlight. We sat a long time before anyone came to get our drink orders, we asked if we wanted bread after a while. Why would we be asked, we're hungry! 2 ordered salads, the one with chicken looked like wood chips. The spaghetti had no sauce or taste, he had to ask for sauce. He had to ask for salt and pepper to add some spice to it! Fish and chips were tasteless. Crab cake sandwich was okay with enough cocktail sauce. Horrible environment, slow service...very slow, bad food. Such a disappointment, I was embarrassed for suggesting Bucks.

We’ve been going to Buck’s for almost 20 years and our recent meal has me crossing it off of our list. The crab bisque is still very good, but most everything else we ordered was lackluster and the drinks were weak. Mahi Mahi was over cooked, scallops were rubbery, mushy Brussel sprouts, and only Boston cream and key lime pie for dessert choices. It doesn’t feel clean. I know Buck’s very well and have celebrated family birthdays there over the years, so this isn’t an angry rant. I’m more disappointed that it’s gotten this bad.

Used to be a regular customer and then things started to go downhill. Good service was spotty and atmosphere very noisy with no request by management for patrons to use their inside voices. From what have read new ownership resulted in higher prices but inconsistent food quality and service. You do now have an outdoor eating area next to the creek, which should be great for the flies and mosquitos. Per facebook there was a recent allegation of racism by staff against a patron. Certainly don't support that, but rather than the owner keeping his cool, he essentially said that rednecks and those from the deep south are most likely to act that way, and should stay away. No problem . And what is up with taco night when you have Riviera Maya next door? Be creative and find your own niche.

New owners overcharge for the same food and removed delicious food from the original menu. Never going back!

I have been here once before last summer and enjoyed it very much but last night was very disappointing. We stopped in for a quick bite to eat and ordered mussles and soup. The mussles were ok but were a little mealy. The crab bisque which took a long time to be served was luke warm and my md crab was so thick it was like a scoop of tomatoes and veggies with no broth. I realize it was end of the night but I would rather if they just turned us away then served us poor quality food that wasn't cheap. To add insult to injury the draft Yingling I ordered was $6.75. And that was not a large draft. Just a standard glass. It was a lot of money spent on a poor meal and a waste of a long time. The only positive thing about our experience were the servers. Everyone was very nice and friendly.Unfortunately with today's economy I can't afford to waste money so I doubt I'll be going back any time soon.

I didn't even know this place existed until my sister-in-law picked it to go to dinner one night when she was in town. I am glad she did. My wife and I got the Award winning crab bisque and we have to agree it was award worthy. I got the fish and chips which was very good and the portion more than acquit. My wife got the crab cake, here in this area the composition for best crab cake is very strong. While this was not the best crab cake in the area it certainly is one of the better ones and definitely worth ordering.Service was very friendly and great. Plenty of parking. It worth the trip out to Rising Sun for a meal here. We will be back.

Decent restaurant but wait was very long. They were recently renovated and very short staffed. We were there for 2 1/2 hrs with a 2 year old, who thankfully was a gem. Food was adequate. Did not have liquor for the first specialty drink I ordered, off their menu. Took forever to get drinks. Mixed up our food order.Parking: Easy parking with dedicated lot.

Our dinners were excellent. Steamed clams for appetizers, crab cake and scallops. Our waitress, Bailey, was so nice and very accommodating. We will be back!

Great food! Great service! Took a little bit for apps to come out, but perhaps still bring prepared since we were there at opening. Loved how there was no rush between courses; servers seemed to keep watch and bring food at appropriate time. Unlike many rrdtsursnts where the food keeps coming and piling up on the table. We'll be going back!

Buck's was the choice for a small birthday party for my brother in law Tom. My first visit, multiple visits by others in the party. The hostess that greeted us, Alyssa, was a true delight. I have allergies, so she worked with me and the Chef so that everything would be good - however it was way beyond good, it was great! Just a burger for me, but the best ever, cooked perfectly, every ingredient perfect - cheddar, mushrooms, bacon, lettuce, tomato - just the exactly perfect juicy burger! Tom had the Crab Bisque, wife had the huge taco salad, and all received outstanding reviews.Alyssa was helpful, friendly, witty, fun, and just the right level of attentive! Fantastic food and service!!

GREAT service and really good food! What more could we want? Love the great non-national-chain of it all! Its nice to find an independent restaurant who treats you like they want you there! Good place! We'll be back!
