Was in Riverdale Park and wanted something different, vegetarian and not Whole Foods. My Google search showed Vegan Junk Food DMV in the Food Hall was just feet away from where I parked. I walked in and was greeted by the bartender from Casper's who could clearly see I was confused. After reviewing all the menus for the restaurants in the Food Hall, I stayed with my Vegan Junk Food DMV. I ordered the Cheez'steak and totties. My food came out quickly and piping hot. The totties were seasoned very well. I wasn't expecting that, so it was a pleasant surprise. The cheez'steak was a mix of crumbles, finely diced mushrooms, peppers and onions. This is such a great blend that no one thing is overpowering. It has kale, Vegan cheez and a house sauce. This was a very huge and delicious sandwich. I couldn't eat all of it and would definitely go back to order it again as well as to try some of the other items.

I would just like to give a huge shout out to one of the owners of Vegan Junk Food, Kiana. I ordered lunch from her restaurant today and my order was taking unusually long to update. When I called, she notified me that my order had been ready for 20 mins and no driver had been assigned. She was so diligent in helping figure out what was going on, not to mention she was very friendly and pleasant. As you can understand, I was definitely annoyed because I had been waiting for over an hour with no update. Aside from helping me navigate that issue, she gave Ma a coupon to use on my next order.Let’s get into the food, first of all it’s so good that I even got my non vegan coworkers ordering. Yesterday was my first time having it and I was right back again today. We got the bang bang broccoli with the zest sauce and those totties with the seasoning babyyyyyyyyy! My coworkers had the krispy cauliflower which they also really enjoyed. The cookies were also a cute little treat at the end of my meal. Needless to say, I haven’t tried all of the food but what I had, had that COMEBACK mojo! Go support their thriving small business check them out. Everything on the menu looks delicious! Best wishes to them and yall let me know what you had and what you enjoyed. Peace!

The food and drinks are pretty pricey! Very expensive for junk food and small portions. I've had other vegan meals for much less. We had the egg rolls and a burger and tots. The tots were nothing special. They seemed like they were your tipical frozen tater tots from the supermarket. They needed some seasoning or sauce. On the other side the egg rolls were too salty. The drinks were an interesting mix of flavors. They were good, we had one of each. The great thing is the service. There's a concierge at the door of the food hall were Vegan Junk Food is located. They welcome you and when you choose your table you can order and pay for your food with a QR code on the table.

In April, next month will make five years of me being a vegan. I ordered food from here for the first time yesterday. I ordered the regular vegan cheeseburger with the side of potato tots. Along with a berry beat lemonade. I ordered again today because, the food was so good. 10/10

Eager to try this place after seeing some solid reviews on Instagram but I was disappointed.Vegan Junk Food is a ghost kitchen. Based on other reviews, I knew this place was located in food court-type of set-up and you have to “order from a kiosk”. What I didn’t know is other than a banner/poster with a QR code, there was little other signage to know this place operated from this food court, so it was difficult to locate as a first time customer. Someone who worked at another vendor helped me with my understanding - respect ✊?. The food court is a very nice venue.I ordered through my phone using the QR code - Philly Cheez'steak Meal (comes with tots) and Krispy Cauliflower. This was a bit time consuming, so be prepared for that administrative gatekeeping - it takes a few more minutes than a kiosk. My meal cost a bit more than $36 and my receipt said it would take 15 minutes to prepare. While waiting for my order, a facilitator-like employee came out and asked three of us if we were waiting for orders - he was very helpful but not always available as people stepped into the venue. My food was delivered before the projected 15-minute wait. The food presented well (see the pic). Tots were still crispy after a 15-minute drive home (4 stars). The Cheez'steak had a burnt taste that I may have confused with an earthy-taste, likely due to amount of kale added to the sandwich (1 star). The cauliflower also tasted burnt. I loved the crunch it retained and the flavor had promise but I could not get past a burnt taste (2 stars). The meal was expensive. The Cheez'steak with tots was $22. The Krispy Cauliflower was $14. I know costs are inflated in recent years but this felt exorbitant, particularly for a ghost kitchen. As a comparison, I purchased a $40 18-piece combo from Bonchon shortly before this and thought that was highway robbery (but still had leftovers).Overall, I did not like the experience, taste, or cost. If the taste and cost improved, I bet the experience would be better - it was just new and different.Vegetarian options: It’s vegan!

Ok, so I've been vegan off and on for the past 10 years. And grew up in a vegan household so I'm quite familiar with vegan food, junk or otherwise. But when I tell you how disgustingly unappetizing this food was, it's no joke. I was really hoping from the instagram pics and videos that they were onto something. Just goes to show that looks can be deceiving. We tried the broccoli eggrolls, tater tots, philly cheesesteak, and mushroom burger, mostly all disappointing. The bang bang sauce had bang but not much else. The broccoli wasn't seasoned either. The tots were seasoned too much, salty asf! The cheesesteak was not appetizing at all. I love vegetables of all kinds but who puts kale in a cheesesteak. The flavors didn't go well together. It all just tasted like plastic wrap. Surprisingly my husband's mushroom burger was good, well the fried mushrooms were. Their juices are delicious. But sadly I've removed them from my IG and Yelp. I don't mind throwing money away when it comes to trying new food spots, especially vegan. Everyone has different palates but this food angered me and my pockets. I even took the eggrolls and cheesesteak as a baggy home to rework and it was still awful. It's called vegan junk food, I guess because it's not healthy vegan. But there's no lie, but it was in fact junk, but not at all food. Good luck but I'd save my coins and check out Hip City Veg if you prefer a vegan cheesesteak.

This was my first time getting food from a ghost kitchen and i’m SOO impressed. The food? It's vibrant, packed with flavors, and you can tell they use fresh ingredients. The service? Speedy and seamless. You get your food hot and on time. And the atmosphere was great. You can sit at the bar and enjoy a drink before your food comes. 10/10 I will be coming back !!Vegetarian options: Considering the restaurant is vegan, I would for sure recommend vegetarians.

So, now this place made me favor going part vegan. The inside out burger was amazing. Would come back again with no problem

I've ordered here before a couple of times. The last 2 orders were not that bad, outside of the high prices for small portion sizes. My last order was a few days ago. The tots and cauliflower had too much seasoning on it and the cauliflower didn't have any sauce marinated on it like it's suppose to. Also, they only like maybe 5-6 cauliflower this time, which is less and less than half of my box of tots were not filled as opposed to last time. The female I spoke with yesterday was kind of had a rude tone. I drove here today to bring it back and get a refund as she suggested and no one is here. She knew I was coming today and it's posted online their suppose to be open. I called their number and no one picks up as well. This is beyond bad business, and an inconvenience. It's 1 thing to play with people's food..a whole other thing to waste people's time and money!
