I had the best breakfast experience! The blueberry pancakes with blueberry topping were delicious! There was no need for syrup. The scrambled eggs with cheese and the sausage links were very good also! I had 2 cups of tea to finish my meal. I left with a smile on my face. Yes there is a senior discount!

I’m still processing what happened yesterday, and honestly, my heart is heavy. My high school basketball team 13 Black young men, ages 15–18 went to IHOP for a team breakfast after we got out of school early on 11/26/25. They were proud, wearing their Overlea Basketball gear, representing their school and community like they always do. I told them I’d take care of the bill, just let me know when they were done eating. Next thing I know, I’m getting a text from my players saying: “Coach Will, the waiter is asking when you’re coming because he needs to close the check.” Close the check… while they were still eating? Before I even arrived? Before anything was wrong? That already didn’t sit right with me. But when I pulled up about 10 minutes later, I walked in behind TWO police officers. At that moment my stomach dropped. I felt anger… confusion… and fear for my kids’ safety. Fear that something completely innocent could turn into something traumatic in seconds. Inside, the manager pointed at my players and said, “Them over there.” Then looked at my Overlea gear and asked me, “Are you here to pay for them?” When I asked if he really called the police on them, he said yes, because “kids run out all the time.” These boys weren’t loud. They weren’t disrespectful. They weren’t trying to run out. They were STILL EATING! And they were wearing SCHOOL gear with “Overlea Basketball” printed on their bags and clothing. But none of that mattered, because in the eyes of that staff… they were simply a group of Black teenage boys, and that alone made them a threat. And that hurt me deeply that my players had to experience this. As a coach, I work hard to teach these young men responsibility, discipline, respect, and pride. I pour into them. I protect them. And to watch them be treated like criminals for absolutely nothing made my blood boil. They were embarrassed. They were confused. They were targeted. And they were racially profiled, plain and simple! I expect better. Our kids deserve better. Our community deserves better. @IHOP this cannot be ignored. These young men deserve a real apology and real accountability.
I love the pancakes, especially the cinnamon roll toppings.

Came into eat breakfast with the hubby this morning, the food was ok and the workers pleasant enough. However anytime the kit hen door opened we got a big stench of dead garbage. Im not sure if the trash needs taken out, or their is a dead mouse somewhere, but it was rough. Hubby did make a worker aware.
