Selby’s Grab and go

Stopped by this spot with my husband and our two grown sons, and we all left full and happy. The vibe is super chill with an open layout, friendly energy, and it’s got that sports bar feel with TVs everywhere and sports stuff on the walls. Felt like a place you could hang out for hours.

The customer service was great. Everyone was welcoming, and the owner even came out to greet folks, which was a nice touch.

Now the food was so good. We tried the catfish with greens, wings and fries, salmon cheesesteak, and jerk wings with baked mac & cheese. The catfish was fried soft but still flavorful, not greasy at all. The mac and cheese tasted like somebody’s grandma made it, seasoned all the way through, not just sprinkled on top (the pic doesn't show seasoning but its flavored well). It’s not the creamy kind, but it’s got that baked, soulful goodness.

The jerk wings had a sweet kick but not too spicy, just enough to keep you going back for more. And the salmon cheesesteak? They don’t skimp on the salmon, and it’s seasoned just right (son just had to take a bite befor my photo). Portions were solid, I cleaned my plate and didn’t need a to-go box. Prices were fair too, especially for how much food you get.

Definitely planning to come back. It’s one of those places that just feels good.

Recently moved to st Charles and my niece referred me to this establishment and THANK GOD she did , I wanted to sample the fish chicken and sides and all I can say is LAWD have Mercy . The food was so Good. The cherry on top was the STAFF especially the chef . Will def return .

I ordered the Salmon Cheeses steak. Now the was delicious!!! But the Greens and Green beans, and the fried fish wash very bland with noooo flavor Unfortunately.!! Recommend Salmon cheese steak only!

I really enjoyed myself from the customer service all the way to the food. If you not eating here I don’t know what you doing . You need to be here ASAP and if you looking for somewhere to throw a party they have an event space perfect for that .

I was seeing this place so much on Tik Tok. So l said let’s give it a try. I went there today and had fried chicken, mac and cheese and green beans. The chicken was delicious!!! Mac and cheese and green beans good as well. The staff and owner were very welcoming. I will definitely be coming back.

I placed my second order with Selby's Grab and Go, this time opting for the Jerk Chicken dinner with mac and cheese and collard greens. As I mentioned, my first experience was good; I ordered the whiting dinner with the same sides, and the food was tasty with no complaints.

However, this time was a different experience, and I don't want to come off too harsh, but this was the worst jerk chicken I've ever had. It was horrible and flavorless, with a consistency resembling soggy barbecue sauce. I didn't even taste basic flavors like allspice, garlic, or scotch bonnet peppers. I'm truly disappointed.

Wasn't satisfied at all I came back to give them another. Chance I cldve got my lady to cook that for me but i wldve been disappointed either way.. I was very disappointed twice. But they was sooo nice I had to try it again but twice is all I'm willing to get got the greens was pop'n
