We both ordered lobster bisque just to get a feel for the place. It was barely warmed up at all. The lobster chunks were sparse and were actually cold on the inside. The bisque was extremely, extremely salty. I could not finish it because it was too salty. A bowl was listed for $12 on the menu, but when I got the bill it was $15 for a bowl so the price charged was actually much higher than what the menu was listing. They would only take cash. The credit card machine was inoperable. Waitress was not very attentive.

Waitress Jennifer was great! Setting outside is lovely....but food was a disappointment. The crab cake dinner at $32 only had one average size crabcake. The rockfish filet was small for a dinner entrée. The crab stew was okay but the only crabmeat in it was the garnish. For 4 adults and one child it was not a $200 meal..although that was the cost. I rarely write bad reviews but this was a disappointment.

Last time we were in town (June 2021) we ate here twice a day. That’s how much we loved it. I went to Google to make sure they were still open in October 2022 and I was kinda surprised by the reviews. Not easily deterred, I went with my daughter for dinner. Nothing has changed. Just as good, with good food, good drinks, and good service, as it was in the summer. Maybe I came on a good night. Maybe others came on a bad night. Either way, we’ll be back. My daughter is 5. We had no issues with having her there.

Slow service and the food was lacklustre. My big sign if the restaurant is going to be is the bread. Hard to mess up the bread as it is something they outsource. Ours was dry and had been cut clearly hours - we thought about cutting bait and just doing cocktails ... Wish we had done that. The nice courtyard/view is the only positive for me.

The service was good the food mediocre and prices were high. Ate at limoncello the following night for about the same price and food and service were great!

The fish n chips were good. The MD crab soup was very good. We ordered the steamer sampler. It seemed like our waitress was trying to talk us out of getting it because the serving tray was so large. She tried to clear the soup bowl before I was done with it, but didn't clear any empty plates or glasses until everyone had finished. Thankfully there was a window ledge nearby. The shrimp were over steamed & tough but overall it was a decent experience.

Arrived for lunch on a Wednesday around 2 pm. Sat outside where only two tables were occupied. Both of those tables either already had food or were finished eating. Ordered steamed shrimp for an app and crabcake sandwiches for each of us. Took over 20 minutes to get the shrimp. Seasoning was OK but they were overcooked. Another 20 minutes for the crabcakes to arrive. They were just OK, nothing special although they were cooked properly and served hot. BUT - the roll they were served on was so hard as to be inedible. I will go so far as to say they were probably not stale but likely over toasted. The lettuce was flabby and the tomato was an embarrassment considering the abundance of fresh produce available locally now. The coleslaw was fine; the green beans were shriveled and lukewarm. We waited another 15-20 minutes to get the check and we then had to ask someone to tell our server that we wanted our check. A party of 5 that arrived after us got their food much faster and while we were still waiting for our server to come pick up our payment, they checked out and left. Terrible service? Yes, definitely. Slow kitchen? Unsure. Cannot understand their 4 plus stars cumulative reviews based on our experience. Paid a ridiculous price for hardly mediocre food.

The most important thing I can say is, "do not sit at the bar." If you do, you will see how your food is handled. The lax in washing hands before handling food and drinks was mind-blowing. One guy behind the bar with long hair was handling plates while emptying trash, taking things outside, and goodness knows what else, and guess what, not one time did he wash his hands. I wanted to give this place 5-starts because the food was okay but the uncleanliness and cross contamination - be mindful about that.

Portions very generous, had NE clam chowder, blackened tuna and the fish and chips. Excellent with some left to take home.

AVOID this restaurant at all costs!!! From the lack of cleanliness, filthy restroom, to the multiple issues, we should’ve left as soon as we sat down. It took over 15 minutes for any server to ask if we wanted anything to drink or eat. YES IT GETS worse…… Room temperature Oysters, no ice on the plate. Our main course, Mahi-mahi taco’s, on the fish and under the veggies were large SPIDERS!! Yes, Spiders. When we showed the server, the server looked at them and said nothing, took the plate away and the manager came over and didn’t even apologize for the insects walking in and over our food. She said we removed the (Spider) tacos from the bill and walked away. As if we were at fault. AWFUL Arthur’s….I couldn’t agree more with the name. This is a first……”SPIDER TACOS” STAY AWAY!!!!!

This place was recommended by a local guy at the marina. They had no table for us, but we opted for the bar. The bar was pretty much devoid of charm. The staff seemed overworked and rushed and we didn’t pick up a good vibe. No smiles, the workers were not having much fun it seemed. That was the atmosphere. A good meal can overthrow a bad first expression, but unfortunately the food was “nothing special to report”. We tried the craw fish, which were warm on the outside but cold inside. My husband figured they had been frozen and quickly steamed before serving. The server asked us if they tasted ok and we told her that they were good but cold. She simply replied: “oh, I can’t understand why they would be cold” and left. Oh well. My fish tacos were bland, but it was refreshing to get the choice of fruit instead of the ever present French fries. The fried oysters were bland too. Everything was made without love. This, coupled with the hurried vibe at place and the weird response from the server made our dinner extremely mediocre and we will not likely be back anytime soon. Luckily, St. Micheal’s has plenty other good restaurants. The upside were their own hot sauces, especially the ghost pepper: so delicious that we ended up buying one. They also saves our meal.

Fun outdoor dining right in the heart of St. Michaels. Delicious crab soup and salad. Peaceful atmosphere and great service. Will definitely be back!

Don't let the name fool you -- this is a great little place. Oysters, Berry Salad and the best Roast Beef French Dip! Waitress was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend it!
