Last time we were in town (June 2021) we ate here twice a day. That’s how much we loved it. I went to Google to make sure they were still open in October 2022 and I was kinda surprised by the reviews. Not easily deterred, I went with my daughter for dinner. Nothing has changed. The fish n chips were good. The MD crab soup was very good. We ordered the steamer sampler. It seemed like our waitress was trying to talk us out of getting it because the serving tray was so large. She tried to clear the soup bowl before I was done with it, but didn't clear any empty plates or glasses until everyone had finished. Thankfully there was a window ledge nearby. The shrimp were over steamed & tough but overall it was a decent experience.
This place was recommended by a local guy at the marina. They had no table for us, but we opted for the bar. The bar was pretty much devoid of charm. The staff seemed overworked and rushed and we didn’t pick up a good vibe. No smiles, the workers were not having much fun it seemed. That was the atmosphere.
