I don't want to give a bad review by any means. I don't drink alcohol much but I tried a mojito fresh mint and lime etc. For my birthday june my husband bought me pretty big bottle of Lyons White rum. I was so excited to make it, but the taste was so different and I didn't understand why. I researched finally tonight. My husband asked the liquor store where he purchased Lyons in frederick and they suggested this one. The problem is that I'm seeing after researching....
After visiting St. Michael's winery (7/11), I was told to walk next door to LYON Rum distillery-woman owned! I did just that! The atmosphere was very inviting and fun. I can't remember the name of the person at the counter, but she was very friendly and knowledgeable about the distillery and products. The owner walked in, introduced herself, and provided additional information. I sampled some of the rums and purchased the Coconut rum and Blackberry (I think)...either...
These rums are high quality and fairly priced for what you’re getting. Unlike other rums that use flavoring extracts for their flavored rums, this distillery uses real fruit. You can taste the difference. Using real fruit is NOT cheap but despite that, their rums are cheaper than some other fake-flavored bottles you’d find in the store.
