Charm of an old sea restaurant. Yummy crabcakes smooth and meaty.
We decided to go here based on the recommendation from a local. We all ordered crab soup, entrees and drinks. Since it is near the end of season, they were out of many beers. We understood and opted for a great Orange Crush. The soup came and it was barely warm and tasted like cream of flour. Several of us sent it back and the crab meat was not plentiful and did not look or taste like local crab meat. The waitress was not very friendly or apologetic for the soup. Our entrees arrived and the crab cake was okay, but again, barely warm. The coleslaw and potato salad was okay as well. A friend ordered scallops and a side of Brussels sprouts which were obviously canned and mushy. Not going back.
Our server was very nice and attentive. She forgot requests here and there but it was no biggie. Food was adequate but may be I was just there in the off season? (September)Atmosphere was kind of dive-bar-y which I definitely didn't like.
The hostess resembled a Rottweiler as angry as she was. We requested to sit inside which was inconvenient for her since nobody else ate in the dreadful dining-room, but we were cold. I had a small service dog with me. She said without looking that no dogs were allowed. I pointed out that it was a service dog. She. Erely shrugged her shoulders. Service was slow and lacking any courtesy. We were obviously a nuisance. We ordered the combo of crab cake and soft shell crab. When the plate came we could not believe it: the crabmeat was basically pure breadcrumbs. The soft shell crab was a small pile of pure mush. The food was uneatable. We just left it. We told the waitress we could not eat it. The Rottweiler hostess appeared and said if we wanted a dessert it was on the house. We declined. Obviously we don’t recommend this place to anyone.
I got crab and shrimp sauteed in lemon and butter but the overwhelming flavor was some kind of seasoning (Old Bay?). I would rather have tasted the seafood. The fried oysters were good.
I ordered the blackened catfish. Food was average, nothing special. Outdoor dining at picnic tables next to the parking lot.
Lovely atmosphere sitting on the water but food was mediocre. Looked like a good menu but crab cake did not meet expectations. Service was ok.
First and foremost, do not call yourself a steak house if you can't cook a steak. I wished that I read more of the other reviews...there were only 2 "steak" options in the first place. We ordered the filet medium rare and the tuna steaks medium rare, what came out were not those temperatures. One tuna steak was close the other was a little more overcooked. The filet had a texture like someone chewed it already and then threw it on the plate. The pictures provided give it more credit than it deserves thanks to good lighting. We both had side salads, one being a Ceasar the other house. The Ceasar didn't even have croutons on it. Whatever, those are side salads. Move on to the presentation, like a previous reviewer stated we've seen better presentation from TGI Fridays, hell I've had better cooked steaks from there. Seriously though, holding onto the St. Michael's name is misleading, calling yourself a steak house is entirely misleading.
Authentic crabbie experience. Nice patio with great service.
Harbor view and server were great! Hushpuppies and salads were excellent. Cream of crab soup was okay. We are coming back again.

Delicious! Hostess is fabulous. Recommend a reservation and they are very accommodating. Best meal in St Michael’s overlooking the harbor!
Had reservations for dinner, but decided to eat late lunch. Hostess was very accommodating and told us we could be seated immediately if we didn't mind inside dining. We were seated right at the windows overlooking the harbor. Very nice view. We asked the waitress to make s couple of changes to the menu items and she was happy to do it. We had a marvelous and delicious meal. Highly recommend this restaurant and will come here again next visit.
If you are looking for waterfront dining at a popular spot with views of boats, no better place than having dinner in a marina. We had our dog with us, so we were welcomed to the patio. The service was fast and efficient, and our seafood was also delivered quickly. It was very good, better than I expected on a busy holiday weekend. For pure nautical ambience, I will definitely come back.
Outstanding food we drove from Baltimore the hostess was courteous after we was full we spent the night beautiful Locale
We stopped a guy on the street who suggested it. We had good meals and the service was also good. It is located on the water in the harbor area and has indoor and outdoor dining. Not fancy but a good spot.
