The food was delicious and the service could not have been any better. It is a cozy place to get a fine taste of the eastern shore.

Take the drive to St. Michael, fight the crowd, pay for parking if needed, but DO visit the Fool’s Lantern. You will not regret the visit. This is a self-pour wine and beer bar; sample it all, pour as much or as little as you want. You pay for the ounce!
The food is positively amazing as well. We enjoyed a couple of handhelds and feta dip.
One of the light fixtures swayed the entire time we had dinner, maybe it’s haunted!!! Wouldn’t that be incredible.
On the menu they say food comes out when it’s finished, and it’s true the server brings it when it’s finished.

Went here for an afternoon sampling of wine (there's also a wall of beer and they're talking of adding different hard liquors). As soon as I saw this place, I knew I needed to check it out. The manager and our server were very friendly and professional. They answered any questions we had. I had an issue with one of the wines not pouring and our server immediately came over and fixed the problem. You got a good pour too! We would love to go back and try the food next time. If you're looking for a neat and different experience, this place is fun! I'm not rating the food only because we didn't eat here.

As a couple who loves exploring breweries and wineries, this venue felt like the perfect blend of everything we enjoy with the added charm of a small-town business feel. It's warm, welcoming, and it's laid-back atmosphere makes everyone feel at ease. The food is amazing with a great variety of options and the drink selection is just as impressive (from craft beer to wine or cocktail options). We stumbled upon it by chance but chose to host our reception here because of the listed characteristics. There's something for everyone! For our event, the team was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. Michael (owner) made the whole experience feel even more personal by being so helpful in offering recommendations and being flexible with requests. Everything was absolutely delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Whether you're looking for a unique spot to host an event or just want a great place to hang out and enjoy good food and/or a variety of drinks, this place truly delivers.

The service was absolutely horrible. They did not come to our table once to check on us, we had to go to them. When we were finally served, they didn't give utensils or plates so we had to wait another 10min. We ordered chicken tenders for our daughter and asked for ketchup, that they never brought. With the competition in St. Michael's I'm shocked they have such a high overall rating!

Curry chicken salad is INCREDIBLE. Really enjoyed the gyro as well. Pour your own beer and wine is fun! Nicest owner, great service.

Love sitting outside here-very nice to sit inside too. Vast wine and beer selection and you can have a little or a lot. Love the different cheese and meat boards. But our most favorite part is the seasoned cheese sauce and soft pretzels-SO DELICIOUS!! Pic is of the aftermath!

We came here because the menu said they offered GF options for their crab cake sandwich. We got there and were told the crab cake itself is not GF (“it has a little bit of panko”) and are made ahead of time so it could not be made GF. It was disappointing. We had to leave as there were not many GF options for our GF diner. We were however pleased with the honesty of the staff and them letting us know they weren’t able to make that a safe GF meal. I just wish they’d make the menu a little more clear for diners with celiac or other food allergies.

We had lunch at the Fool’s Lantern on a whim during a thunderstorm in the area. We’re glad we did! We had the curry chicken sandwich and the garden sandwich with turkey. The curry chicken was excellent with large chunks of chicken thigh meat in a delicious chutney sauce. The ciabatta roll was really soft and tasty. The garden sandwich was also very good. We had fun tasting beers from their pour-your-own taps and they had a fairly good selection. Service was very good and friendly.

Fun concept and a great place to meet friends for either just a glass of wine or an entire meal. Service was great - staff was friendly and attentive.

Such a fun spot for happy hour drinks! The concept of the self pouring was easy and everyone working when I went was nice and helpful - would recommend!
