One of our go to places when visiting friends in the area. Whether it's for brunch or dinner, the food and drinks have always been excellent. My personal favorites are the Severn River Sandwich and the Mac & Cheese. Make sure to stop by around the holidays for some of the best egg nog ever. The staff are friendly and take the time to make sure you're enjoying yourself.

1st time there after reading Google reviews decided to give it a try. I ordered the Chicken Potpie and hubby had the Shepards pie. Both were great! Started with the potato cakes for an appetizer and they were also good. What impressed us the most was one of the waiters called out and the bar manager Jamie was our waiter for the day. He was kicking butt and doing a great job! He was running around like crazy but getting it done. Couldn't have ask for anything more. His customer service was top notch đŸ‘ŒđŸŒ Will definitely return when in townđŸ‘đŸŒ

Had Pop'S 70th birthday here in their lovely back room on a Saturday afternoon. Kenny was an excellent server and the food was exquisite!! What a wonderful place to celebrate and be with family!

The salmon was delicious and that carrot & parsnip mash is to die for!! Several family members had the potato cakes and they were delicious! The bread pudding was a dream come true dessert!!

I had the fish sandwich. Beer battered cod. It was crispy and lightly seasoned. The co-owner was the waiter. Nice guy

Corned beef poppers, and the chicken pot pie were very good. Also enjoyed the shepherds pie.

Something that’s hard to find—-
Lobster bisque was full of lobster. It was smooth with a hint of sherry. Yum!
Thursday oyster special was fabulous!!
The iced tea was freshly brewed and cold before being poured over the ice. That too is something you don’t always find anymore. It was refreshing and the server remembered to add a fresh lemon which floored me because elsewhere I have to ask each time it’s refilled.

This place is a local gem that I am sorry I have missed until now but I can tell you I will be back often because they have great nightly specials and they have music Wednesday to Sunday.
And, the service was attentive and accurate

Have been a few times and food is always great! We went on Tuesday the 15th to support a friends breat cancer benefit and this night stands out! They picked a perfect menu, we sat at the bar and they bar tender was on her game! I cant remember her name but it was the lady that worked the night shift Tuesday. There was also a young man who everyone was calling the super heor for the night! He was busting his butt carrying food and clearing tables. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

I've liked everything I've tried there, but it never seems very busy. I'm not sure why more people don't go? In an area without a lot of different choices the menu is unique, but could probably be updated, or at least expanded. Good food, good service, and never crowded. I would recommend at least give it a try.

Brian Boru is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly captures the essence of an authentic Irish pub. The food is outstanding—rich, flavorful, and prepared with obvious care. Whether it’s the traditional shepherd’s pie or Sunday Brunch, every dish hits the mark. The staff is friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. And let’s not forget the drinks—their selection of beers, whiskeys, and creative cocktails is top-notch (best eggnog!!). Whether you’re stopping by for a casual meal or a lively evening out, Brian Boru never disappoints. Highly recommended!
