I have been eating at Garry's for years. Never had a bad meal. Had some outstanding ones, though.

The food here was good, but nothing special. It had a kind of dive bar ambiance, which can be fun if you like that sort of thing. The wait staff were very good and responsive, though. A good place to take kids as noise wouldn't be an issue!

First time diner, probably won't come back, at least for dinner. The choices on the menu looked good and we were looking forward to possibly adding a new restaurant to our list. Didn't happen. The cream of crab soup and the soup of the day, baked potato, were OK. Salads were OK as well, although the price on the menu said side salads were $3.99 and we were charged $4.75. For our entrees, we ordered the pork chop, herb crusted salmon, and the country fried steak. Two of the dishes had mashed potatoes and one had herbed rice. The mashed potatoes were so stiff you could use it for spackle. The rice was dry. Green beans were the vegetable. They were sauteed in a pan, but weren't cooked nearly enough. Still very crunchy and raw tasting. The country fried steak had an onion gravy that was not good. It was gelatinous and add on off taste. I scraped it off, but I didn't any more of it. I also didn't eat any more of my dinner. The salmon was overcooked. The pork chop was the best choice of the three, but only because the salmon and the steak were so bad. As other people came in, I overheard a few tables order the dinner salads. Maybe that is a better option. There didn't seem to be any management present and the restaurant seemed to be run by two young adults. The young man who waited on us was wearing a baseball cap backward. Not a professional look. The food is always above the average!
The deserts and cakes are the best. I’ve gotten many celebration cakes from Gary’s Grill. Great place!

This used to be such a solid weeknight take out option. My family loves (loved) the salad options. The Garry's Salad is one of my all time favorite salads. Expensive but delicious. But the quality has slipped so much in the last year and I think this visit will be out last unless either the quality bumps back up or the prices come down. The carryout container used to be brimming with mixed greens - more than could be eaten in one meal. Now, its more like a lettuce lined container and I have to supplement with additional lettuce. Just not a good value. So disappointing. I miss the "old" Garry's!
Stopped in for breakfast over the weekend and was disappointed by the service, wait times for food, and prices. I know everything is going up, but the service and atmosphere here is not. Some of the wait staff is just down right unfriendly, and unprofessional.
Garry’s is a hometown favorite, and we’d love to love it; but as a transplant here, I’m just not getting it. Sorry to say! It’s definitely disappointed in recent months.
You need to cut back on oil or change it, food was inedible. Be careful, If you are in wheelchair they have only one half table inside the restaurant.
Update my neighbor and I were nearby at the farmers market around the corner, and she wanted to try Garry's for lunch. Tried it, and she now believes me. The food was inedible and made her ill. Please, everyone, avoid this restaurant and go to another restaurant

Got food poisoning. :( Waitress was even sick and still there and serving.
We used to love this place. I am not sure what happened but they have half the waitstaff they used to on a Saturday morning, they just changed the food menu and significantly upped the cost of everything by about 25% I understand inflation is a thing but other area places seemed to stay flat or just marginally increase. I can’t justify paying $80 for breakfast for two people regularly. We will be going elsewhere.
Price is way to high for the food. Should be in the $20-30 range. Not 10- 20
I used to go to this place almost every day for lunch faithfully. I'm not sure what happened, whether it's new management or what, but ever since the place changed hands, the service has declined. The food is still pretty good though... I rarely go there now.
The food is wonderful. The service is excellent too! There are seats available. The restaurant is bigger than it looks from the outside. A beautiful place, very nice, quiet and friendly.
