Park Tavern has gone a bit downhill since the pandemic unfortunately. Although a convenient spot for a quick weekday meal, which is why we typically choose it, I don't think we'll be returning anytime soon. The last several meals, fried green tomatoes, mediterranean chicken bowl, shrimp with orzo, were just ok. Not a big fan of the chicken they use. May go back for drinks and apps, but it's hard to find an app that appeals to low carb fans. I make better deviled eggs.

From the moment we were greeted by a smiling hostess and checked in, we felt welcome. Our server did a terrific job throughout brunch. He remembered who had decaf vs. regular coffee and took care of refills right on time. Our dishes were freshly prepared and beautifully garnished. It was a truly pleasurable experience for our party.

Server was not familiar with menu, and too young to advise on wine. Restaurant was apparently out of all sauces, and when I asked to not have fries, I was told that I had to have fries.

Park Tavern thrives due to so few quality restaurant choices in SP. High prices, small portions and a constant change in staff makes this place a must "only" on a weekly special night. Even then, the service can sometimes be just ok. Sad for sure. SP deserves better. If only VA's Great American Restaurant Group would put just one if their restaurants here. It 2ould be a total game changer!!

When I think Tavern, I think typical bar food (which I personally have always found to be super yummy). Well, this first-time experience at Park Tavern blew our collective families' minds!!! First, when you walk in, it has the look and feel of fine dining. The service (we were blessed and fortunate to be taken care of by Kat!!) was first class and worthy of any fine dining experience I have ever had. Lastly, the food was awesome and tasty, prepared perfectly as requested and delivered hot!!! I will also add that the prices could have been fine dining, but instead, it was very reasonable. Thank you Kat!!!

This is a nice neighborhood pub with good food and really good service. The beer selection leans toward the local brews and the cocktails are very good. The food is generally pretty good with a few very good items (build-your-own mac and cheese being one) and a few that miss the mark. Definitely worth stopping in if you have the time.
Vegetarian options: There are some vegetarian options on the menu but it's not much and you'll probably have to ask the server to have the kitchen customize something for you which can always be tricky.

I've been wanting to try thid spot for awhile now. The restaurant is really nice and an added plus is the outside patio. The cuttery and cups (not pictured) were dirty. I couldn't be someone wrapped that fork (pictured) in the napkin.
Requested not to sit by the door and hostess had a slight attitude and basically said no. We were shocked. I just accepted it since we were there.
The food is ok. The corn is delicious. The tex mex rolls were good as well. Spinach dip lacked flavor and chicken wings seemed boiled and dipped in the sauce.
