This place has some of the worst customer service I've ever encountered. I'd picked up some cards and was in self checkout. For whatever reason, the self checkout machine started bugging out, beeping and notifying me a rep would come help me. There was even a tall light blinking! And guess what? Not one Safeway employee showed up to help me. I thought one was coming, there was a young woman in a Safeway polo shirt approaching me, so I asked her if she could help me with my issue. She looked super confused and told me someone would be around to help soon. Well, that didn't happen. I abandoned the self checkout and tried a regular checkout lane, but there was a woman in front of me with a packed cart and I wasn't waiting that long to buy 2 cards. I returned to the self checkout area and noticed that the register I'd been at before was still beeping and the light was still blinking, no one had come to help. I went to another register and was able to check out successfully, but dang, the entire time I was there, no one even glanced in my direction! Safe to say I won't be returning to this particular Safeway. 2 thumbs down.

So I ordered Curbside pick up and was beyond pleased!! Pat took such wonderful care of us during these hard times people are facing! I am 6 months pregnant and nervous to go in any store and she worked so well with me! She called me two hours before my order time was to let me know some things might be delayed and some might be out of stock but would substitute as best she could! I told her thank you very much and to take her time. I am in no rush and during these times we ne

Oh yea, I forgot to mention I am a person of color and the only person of color at the time that she manually scanned the remaining items for. I am not totally surprised as we are in Severna Park but I rather drive farther for a grocery store than be racially profiled as a Dad purchasing groceries after work. DO NOT COME TO THIS SAFEWAY, GO TO GIANTS, SHOPPERS, or FOOD LION

They are calling for snow tomorrow. People are panic shopping as always. As usual the Safeway has two registers open. Two! Lines are ridiculous. They do have 6 self serve registers that are also open and always slow. Isn't the cost of labor (cashiers) built in to the cost of groceries? They never and I mean never have enough registers open yet there are always two or three employees standing around the front of the store. I live two minutes from the store and I can promise you I will never shop this store again. Never! Bye Bye Safeway. Hello Giant and Harris Teeter.

Worst darn Safeway I have ever seen! Fish is always a dangerous chance as I have has three bag experiences out of three. First the haddock made my fridge smell like a rotten rear end, then I bought shrimp a few times once after I was informed it was under new management. Still rotten. Smelled like cat piss. I cringe at the liability in this situation. What if it killed someone. The excuse was Brian the manager took over but still the food is crap. Only buy pre packaged foods that are canned or from a reputable company. Anything else is absolute garbage and it seems like it is from a mob distributor. Silly me, I bought chestnuts from Giant one Gov. Ritichie and trout all nuts were created equal. Roasted them and they were great. Wanted more and bought them from this Safeway. Just got done roasting the chestnuts with the kids to find out again this store sells rotten food in other departments. See the photos of the mold.

Just tried delivery service-supposed to be here from 7-8, it is 9:15 and they still haven't arrive and I've been on hold with Safeway for 40 minutes. They said they'll be here in 30 minutes (2.5 hours waiting). All the could compensate me was 10$ towards next time I get delivery lol. They suck

Worst rude staff-lunch meat dept has the worst women there-they hide in the back and act like they r doing u a favor by waiting on u. The prepared food looks like mush and sloppy presentation. Looks like throw up. The roasted chicken smells. Debra , one woman in lunchmeat sept is nasty over and over and I complained several times but did not help. Patti at the self service looks like her face is going to crack if she smile-unfriendly. I get in a bad mood whenever I go here-managers have no effect on the nasty staff-
Very friendly staff! Great grocery store. They have recently renovated this location and added a lot of organic brands. They have improved the items they carry overall. I prefer this store over Harris teeter. The pharmacy staff is awesome as well.

Been going here since I was small...it's a nice store and they recently renovated the building and added a larger seating area for the Starbucks. I only took off a star because the prices are on the higher side since it's a Safeway. They used to have free cookies sometimes in the baking section but not anymore it seems like. They usually have what I need to make dinner. I don't know why the reviews are low. I would recommend this Safeway.

This is for the bakery and I should have thought something was up when the girl quoted me 12.99 for a cake. But on the other hand they had my cel number for over 2 weeks and could have called me to say the cake was not 12.99 but 30.00... and of course I was not going to say anything sense it was my daughters birthday cake. But this will be the last time I use them because this is the second time they have messed something up and not called me to discuss it. Why ask for my number if your not going to use it??

The store was pretty clean and we were able to find the items we have went for it. The young ladies who helped us out were friendly and the checkout was fast.
