The DIY option was daunting at first, but the staff was kind enough to explain the process and even give recommendations on flavor combinations.
They'll even let you taste test certain syrups and toppings before you decide.
The spam musabi is made on the spot so we had to wait a few minutes to receive it but it was warm and tasted great when it was done.
Decor is geared more toward family-friendly, so if you have younger kids, they will probably have a good time.

What an amazing concept. The owners are incredibly kind and patiently explained the whole process to us. I love all of the customization options and that you can make something to suit your taste (even if you don't like your boba too sweet). The whole experience was very impressive and I do plan to come back again soon!

My boyfriend and I have been coming here for months after seeing a Tik Tok about them! They have the best Cookies & Cream boba and the staff is super friendly! We love coming here and enjoying the ambience. Cannot recommend them enough!

The staff was very friendly and helpful, they showed us how to use the machines and even gave us samples of the different teas and things to help us try to get an idea of what we could use. The prices were very good for how good of an experience it was and how flavorful everything was.

An amazing selection of delicious drink combination options with friendly and attentive service. The free board games and arcade games make this a great place to grab a drink (or two) and relax for a while with friends or family.

From start to finish, everything was seamless. Booking was incredibly easy, and they even accommodated us with a private party on a day they're normally closed. The co-owner and general manager were both on-site throughout the event, helping with setup and cleanup - talk about exceptional service!

The highlight was definitely the hands-on DIY boba experience. The GM or co-owner would walk our party guests through the process step-by-step, offering great recommendations on how to mix and match ingredients for either perfectly balanced flavors or fun, unique combinations. They had something for everyone - kid-friendly options, vegan alternatives, and both milk-based and tea-based drinks with zero sugar and zero caffeine options available.

The pricing was incredibly reasonable for both the individual bobas and the overall party package, especially considering the personalized attention and private venue access we received.

As regular customers, we keep coming back because this place truly stands out. They use authentic Taiwanese ingredients (and yes, Taiwan is the birthplace of bubble tea in the 1980s!), creating that genuine boba experience. The atmosphere is so welcoming and family-friendly with free board games, three soccer football tables, video console hook ups to their TV screens, free stickers, and coin-free video games for the kids. Little cute details, like easy WiFi connection via QRC, truly show how much they care about the customer experience.

This isn't just a boba shop - it's a community space that goes above and beyond. Highly recommend for parties, casual visits, or anyone wanting authentic bubble tea in a genuinely friendly environment!

This is one of the most fun and engaging boba shops I’ve been to in the US. Really easy and fun process to create your perfect custom boba tea. Great flavor options and good prices especially for the experience and customization!

The boba I had tasted extremely metallic and was undrinkable. maybe i got a bad batch since all the other reviews are good, but the boba I had was terrible. for 8 dollars, i expect at least decent boba.

Excellent little custom boba and dessert spot with a decent amount of space to just hang out. The staff are friendly, and there's a bit of arcade machines and board games too.

However I kept it simple with 1 of my all time favorite drinks~ Thai Tea w/ Tapioca Pearls and a Butterfly Pea Passion Fruit.

I need to make sure I am not understating just how much I LOVE Boba. I could easily drink several a day every day and be very happy. I say that to say this is absolutely one of the best boba places around. The location is fantastic with abundant parking and the inside is simply adorable. The layout is awesome with drinks along one wall and fun retro games on the other. The customer service is 5 stars and they allow you to sample the flavors. My go to is Vanilla Milk Tea with green apple jelly and boba. The drinks are BIG and flavors are fantastic. Go try them all and I promise you will be a repeat customer.

We don’t live nearby, but our boba aficionado kiddo sniffed out this gem while we were in town for a swim meet and insisted we make a detour. Spoiler alert: she was absolutely right!

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and given a friendly walkthrough of how everything works. They offered helpful flavor suggestions and let us try samples too. The ambience is fun and welcoming, with some game set ups and Pokemon card cases to peruse.

Our kids had a blast picking their flavors and toppings. The aficionado herself even crowned Sweet Bamboo her favorite spot she’s tried so far. Beyond the boba, we also had the pleasure of trying the mango shaved ice. It was refreshing, fluffy, and quite possibly magical. They told us the unicorn shaved ice is their most popular, but I’m not sure anything can top the mango one. It’s been a few weeks, and we’re still dreaming about it.

Keep up the great work, Sweet Bamboo, and consider expanding north to Baltimore or Towson. You have fans waiting who would be frequent flyers!
