Independently owned coffee shop with carefully thought food and drinks. But the staff is the best!
Love the coffee and the customer service!
I stop by this Severna Park gem weekly, and it’s always worth it! The coffee is top-notch, and the staff’s friendly vibe makes every visit a highlight. Highly recommend for a consistent, quality coffee experience!
They have the best Nitro cold brew and the most delicious gluten free Bars. It's pricey, but it's worth it because it's right on the B&A trail, and I only ride for coffee(shops).
Highly recommended! Awesome people!
10/10 would recommend. We like the outdoor seating area around back along the BnA trail. Also, they have a ton of sugar free syrups

My sister and I stopped here while biking the B&A Trail. The cranberry orange muffin I got was delicious, soft, moist, just perfect. We both got hot chocolate, but neither of us thought the beverage was chocolatey enough. I also would have preferred mine to be hotter. My sister did not finish hers.
The service was fantastic. Both baristas were friendly and professional.
We took our order outside because it was a beautiful day. The shop is right off the B&A Trail, with entrances on both sides of the building, whether you're biking or driving. But, Google Maps directed us to the parking lot side, even though it knew we were biking <ODD>

Cute small place, not much walking room. Ordered a breakfast croissant for $5 after being told I could have it heated up, then given it cold after I paid for it. When I asked again about it being heaten up, was told by a different worker they didn't have the equipment to heat it up, so it was just a cold glob of meat and cheese in the middle. The coffee is good and they have fun seasonal flavors.

I've been coming to the Big Bean since I took "Walking Wellness' in 9th grade over a decade ago. They have a great variety of coffee and plenty of caffeine free options as well like smoothies! They also have a variety of dairy free alternatives. There is also a ton of gluten free baked goods which is awesome. I only wish they had half caff options and more decaf coffee flavors since I am very caffeine sensitive. The location is great-- you can access it from the front side facing the road or the back if you are walking or biking the trail. Unfortunately that strip mall has horrible parking, so you may need to wait to find a spot. The baristas are always friendly.
My favorite items are the green smoothie, banana yogurt smoothie, and Mexican hot chocolate!
