Definitely a hidden gem on the Chesapeake Bay. After hearing about it from sailing friends last year, we visited the Chesapeake Yacht Club while searching for a safe place with floating docks to keep our sailboat during hurricane season. The Chesapeake Yacht Club (CYC) is a wonderful, friendly maritime club within the Chesapeake West River community that has been in continuous operation for over 75 years.

As a member for 4 years, my husband and I have been impressed with the welcoming culture of the CYC members and the quality of the daily operations performed by club staff. Each year, the club seems to get better!

Love CYC. 23 years ago we didn’t think we were “yacht club” (stuffy) people. One visit and we were hooked. Not stuffy at all! We love the freedom to be completely on our own to hang out at CYC, cruise alone or with groups and participate in activities. We’ve made friends for life. The location is great for cruising anywhere on the bay. The grounds are beautiful, secure and well maintained. The cost is reasonable. The casual and fine dining options are beyond compare. Come...
