If you are so inclined to take a day trip to Smith Island, then a trip to the Bayside Inn is also needed. Great food, amazing views, cute gift shop and most important Smith Island Cake.
Great family place. One of few places to eat on Smith Island. Great view inside and out. We ate there for dinner last night and breakfast this morning during our stay at Island Time beach house. Some of best soft crabs I have had and others really liked crab cakes and corn pudding. Waitress was here for the summer and very nice and helpful even though we were last table just before closing at 5. Yep they close early but lunch can get busy with tourist cruises so try an early dinner...
my first softshell crab sandwich! very memorable! they were super nice and the service was fast!
