We had the best experience at red heifer. We had a party of four that enjoyed the igloo experience. It was unique and fun! Our waitress was such a pleasure and took great care of us. The wine flight was wonderful. I would definitely recommend.👌

Red Heifer Wines are excellent! Their place is in a beautiful location. You may bring your own food and/or purchase from them. The charcuterie board is delish! They also have special events, painting, music. An igloo rental during colder months is so much fun. It is a 21+ winery, which works for me now at my age. The staff is very friendly. Check the place out. You won’t be disappointed. 🍷

Red Heifer has quickly become my favorite local winery, due to the delicious wines, breathtakingly beautiful scenery, and the overall fun and relaxing atmosphere. I have visited in all four seasons and it's a completely different place each time. A fun experience is renting an igloo in cooler months - it's cozy and private, and you receive dedicated service from on of the winery's attentive employees. I recommend the Albariño or Edna Mae Chardonnay for dry whites, the Chambourcin or Red Heifer Red for dry reds, and pretty much any flavor of their delicious and refreshing wine slushies. Food is available, whether shareable snacks like a charcuterie board or a basket of loaded fries, or individual panini sandwiches and chips, and the winery hosts musicians on Sundays. Staff is friendly and helpful and a great time is promised! I love the gorgeous summer and early fall flowers for which the owners painstakingly care, and the beautiful views add to the charm. Perhaps a favorite detail is that the winery is 21+, so adults can truly relax in peace without little ones running all around, as seems to be happening at more and more wineries and breweries these days. This winery is a gem tucked up in the mountains of Smithsburg, and it is absolutely worth the visit!

21+ older winery. No children allowed. Drove with my friends from NY excited to try their wine slushies when we were turned away. There is nothing posted on there Facebook nor instagram regarding this as we relayed our frustrations because we drove a long way but the bartender was rude. They only was we knew was a small sign posted when pulling into the establishment. We spent 10 minutes in the car trying to find a single post or anything on all social media accounts stating 21+ and we couldn’t find anything. I left a review stating this as yes it’s their business they make the rules but if they only allow 21+ they should market and advertise as such so us fellow customers know and the bartender who turned us away commented a petty review on instagram and then changed the caption to then say 21+. I have screenshots of a lot of their posts as well as their main Facebook and instagram with timestamps and not a single one shows no children allowed 21+.

First timers, but we will be back. Small, beautiful and great place to just enjoy and relax. Our server was Josh, his smile was very welcoming, but his service was even better. Can't wait for our next visit.

Very relaxing , causal, and beautiful atmosphere! The view is great and the wine was good. We just got a charcuterie board so I’m not sure about the other menu items, however the board was great! I’d definitely come back again.

Came here from out of town for a birthday. We rented a cabana and it was a wonderful experience! The wine and food were all delicious. We also had table service, Josh was amazing. Super attentive and checked in on us multiple times during our reservation. We will definitely be back soon! I would recommend this spot to anyone!

Amazing view and amazing service! Josh was fantastic, and even offered to take a group photo for us. Great place for a child free afternoon.

My fiancé and I rented one of the domes. Really great service, good wine. Try the paninis.
