Maria's Carry Out

I had a taste for stuffed ravioli and french fries with gravy. So I stopped by this place because they carried both items. The place is basically a hole in the wall and you can tell that it's old by the worn counters and tables.

The customer service was good and a lady who took my order was very kind. I couldn't wait to get home to try my french fries and gravy and my stuff ravioli. The stuff ravioli was very good it just didn't have extra cheese on top like I'm used to but that was okay. The fries and gravy is really what was disappointed me.

The fries had some kind of seasoning on it and I didn't like it and the gravy was so watery it just looked like brown water. There was no thickness to it at all. Even when I dumped my fries in it there was no flavor. So that was a big disappointment for me I just end up throwing away the fries I tried to doctor up the gravy a little bit and use that on some mashed potatoes I made later. They really have to do better on their gravy.

This place is a long time local fixture. They make great ribeye steak and cheese subs. The egg salad subs/sandwiches are also amazing. My family and I try to stop here on the occasions we are in Edgemere. North Point State park and Ford Howard park are down the road. Even though the name has “Carry Out” there is ample indoor seating if you want to dine in. If you get hungry on a day visiting the park try this place out.

The staff has always been very friendly and all their food is good. Not a long wait for delivery. Me and my wife drive from the white marsh area to relax and get some good food.

I think the food was pretty good. I ordered a cheesecake slice and had to throw it away bc it tasted expired. Unfortunate. Also the lady on the phone was very curt and didn't ask me how I'd be paying. I called back and she took my card but then didn't inform me how much my bill was. I'd have to agree with the other posts. If the food wasn't so good I'd probably pass.
