A pretty good Mexican restaurant, definayely better than the norm. Very good fajitas, and you really should have the excellent seafood soup - best thing on the menu. Very friendly staff and service.

Been coming here since opening and it was great. Started coming in less and less. Went for a late lunch yesterday and was not impressed with the portions for the prices. The chicken fajitas had about 8 strips and minimal veggies. The dish I got just gets smaller every time I order it. Everything tasted great, it's just the portions. There is a new Mexican restaurant coming to the island so I hope El Jefe steps it up some.

Thumbs down. Took 25 minutes longer for our son’s kids meal. Half of my order was incorrect. No attempt to make it right just blamed it on the kitchen. Word of advice to our server. You represent the entire establishment. Not just yourself. When the order is wrong you make an attempt to correct it. Poor customer service is the main reason people do not return.

My hubby and I take our daughter at least 3 times a month and we always have the best service and food. The waitresses start to recognize you and come over to say hi. I wish I remembered the name of the lady who always helps us, but last night we had Mayra who was wonderful as well. Our food is ALWAYS out in 10 minutes or less. ALWAYS. Thanks el Jefe we love you!
Worst Mexican food, I have ever had. My chicken enchiladas were supposed to have shredded chicken, but the kitchen staff didn't bother shredding it. They just threw it in the tortilla in big hunks. The chicken was not seasoned at all, tasted boiled with no spices. The cheese dip came out barely warm so it didn't even stick to the chips. The salsa was also sweet tasting like ketchup. The enchilada sauce was the same way. They were also packed which made the service terrible, but they had enough people working so i am not understanding the problem. Super gross.
