Save your money and go to McDonalds across the street. I called in to order a sushi roll for take out dinner. Got it home and it was awful, the tempura shrimp must have been cooked at lunch time or the day before or maybe days before. No crunch, mushy and a weird mushy consistency. This place is not cheap and they have no pride whatsoever in pushing out awful food. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Loved having the place to ourselves and the server was accommodating. Some food was adequate, some excellent. And the price is right!

I used to come here often years ago and loved the food. I ordered for the first time in over a year today. The teriyaki chicken was not nearly as good as I remember . The sauce was bland and thick- not a sweet teriyaki I remember. It’s too bad. The family is so kind and sweet. The veggies were cooked well though.

Sapporos are cold and sushi is fresh and delicious! The house fried rice is a kid favorite. Staff is always friendly and attentive! It’s our favorite neighborhood sushi spot!

The sushi was vaguely passable but not very fresh and tasted of freezer/was too watery to feel fresh.

Unfortunately my partner made the mistake of trying Ichiban Sushi’s chicken pad thai, which was one of the most peculiar and unappetizing textures I have ever had the displeasure of being surprised by. The noodles and vegetables were cooked okay, like a microwaved meal with a cloyingly sweet sauce (no balance to acid or sourness), but the “chicken” pieces were a horrifying, gelatinous texture unlike any protein I have ever had. It was like we were eating chicken gummy snacks that disintegrated in your mouth. He didn’t eat any of it unfortunately so we shared my 5/10 food and left.

We won’t be returning

I ordered the Spicy Tuna Roll and the Lunch Sushi Combo, but the Spicy Tuna had no flavor at all. As shown in the photo, the salad was served in an inedible condition. The fish also had a strong fishy smell. This was very disappointing.

Amazing service. The fried rice, teriyaki chicken, miso soup, and tempura ice cream are to die for. Great prices as well

Swung in hoping to get a couple of rolls for the road, real quick, and they got it quickly.

Ordered take out and it cost $75 for two people. It was ready on time. I was surprised to see such a small bag. Ordered Spider and Stevensville rolls and they were good though very little ginger and very little very weak wasabi. No spicy mayo, two soy and two sweet and sour packets. The spring rolls were smaller than any I've ever seen and very doughy. I ordered seafood combo which was mostly broccoli, big celery chunks and peppers. Fake crab, a few shrimp and about five scallops, if you count the ones cut in half. Sauce had zero flavor. General Tsos chicken was okay, but very little broccoli and gooey. White rice portion was half a cup each; didn't know they made boxes that small. Expected leftovers, but it was just all very small. Definitely not worth $75. Don't see repeating this disappointing and very $$ experience.

We were passing through Kent Island and noticed the great reviews for this place. We had some sushi snobs in our party. They all rated this as a one of the top places they have been. High praise from Boston and Chicago people!

My family has been coming to Ichiban for years. Food is ALWAYS fresh and delicious. I don’t live around the island anymore but when I come home I HAVE to eat at Ichiban before I leave. It’s just that good.
