I’m a Kent Island local and really tried to avoid posting this because I believe in supporting local businesses — but I can’t ignore it anymore. I used to come here once or twice a week and really enjoyed it.
Then one day, I brought a friend from over the bridge. We ordered food, had drinks, and while waiting, a roach crawled across the bar. If they’re on the bar, they’re almost certainly in the kitchen too.
I later spoke with a former bartender (now at Big Al’s) who confirmed that roaches are a known issue here. It’s extremely disappointing, and until this is addressed, I won’t be coming back. Not to mention pricing is more expensive than bridges which is a nice dock bar. Island pub is a pub smh.

The bartender/server - Christy(sp?) was super nice and went out of her way to accommodate our kiddo who wasn’t feeling well. The food was great. Loved the hush puppies, the ham & cheese, and the chipotle ranch sauce is excellent. Recommend trying the “melon shots” - pieces of watermelon soaked in either vodka or tequila.

I have been here numerous times but lately service is poor, and very slow. Bar eas empty and took about 5 minutes to get bartenders attention i thought whe she came she'd wipe the bar down in front me but no, left it dirty, took about 30 minutes for wings, which came wrong. They came back with hot sauce poured over them not stired up. Took forever to get my check and when it came it was placed into the plate with my leftovers instead of taking away the dirty plates. I'm sorry to be a spoiler, I really do like this place. They just need to pay attention to the details and not spend the majority of time talking 1 customer at the end of the bar

First time coming here and it was delightful. Cute atmosphere, waitress was super nice, and food came out hot and delicious. We got a cheeseburger and French dip. Definitely will go back.

My first visit to the Island Pub after they opened was a disaster, so I decided to give them a try again and boy I am glad I did. I wanted a burger for dinner and decided to try the Island Pub. The burger was excellent! Cooked perfectly, seasoned well, juicy, and an absolute show stopper. The fries were crispy, and we'll seasoned also. There are a lot of burger places on Kent Island, but the Island Pub has set the standard. I did find it strange that there weren't more people eating there. The bar was relatively busy but still seemed a bit quiet. I think the menu prices for both drinks and food are a bit high and that might be keeping some people away. There just seems to be something missing, and I can't seem to figure out why they aren't packed. The service was a bit slow but once again the food was worth the wait. Will definitely be back!

The food is great, the drinks are better, the staff is very friendly. Haven't waited for a table yet, always see someone we know there. It certainly is establishing itself as a place to gather.A year later and they are going strong. The live music (especially Chris) is killing it. The wait staff seems to really enjoy working there which makes it better.
Vegetarian options: I'm sure you can eat meatless and get a really good meal here.
Parking: Huge shared parking lot just outside the front door.
Kid-friendliness: There ae always young children there and they seem to be having good times.
Wheelchair accessibility: It's at street level with HC parking not far.
