The Kentmorr Beach Bar & Grill

Air conditioning was not working. Lots of flies. Our ketchup had mold on the lid. Got a second bottle and it had mold too.

We did not feel welcomed. My Granddaughter was so looking forward to enjoying the beach, but we were told that we could not go on the beach. They said it was new owners and new rules. However, the pictures on the website shows lots of people enjoying the beach. So why promote the beach and show pictures of people enjoying the beach on your website if the rules have changed. However, there are NO BROWN PEOPLE in the pictures. So message received! I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN! If you are a brown person, then you should think twice about patronizing this establishment as well! We left after lunch and went to a local beach where we were welcomed, Matapeake Clubhouse & Beach!!! Make America GREAT by ENDING RACISM & DISCRIMINATION!!! Smooches, Peace & Blessings!!!💋❤️🙏🏾

This was a great place if looking for something new, different compared to your regular dining restaurant. Liked being able to go onto the sand and listen to live music. Will be back

We had a party of 12. We were greeted with a smile and sat quickly. Once our food was ordered and received, we had no silverware or napkins. They claimed to be out of silverware, yet we were not given plastic ware. A guest of ours ate there salad with there hands. Some utensils came later but not enough for all our guest. We had to get up and get out own napkins. I'm still waiting for my sprite. The waitress disappeared for long periods of time. With a $150 pre charged gratuity it is a bit much when the service is that low. Maybe it's more of a beer, crabs and hand helds, not salad and dinner location.

Crabs were great! The outdoor area was awful. Kids couldn't even put their feet in the water.

Disappointed and Misled by TikTok Hype

We decided to try this restaurant after seeing a glowing review on TikTok. While the beachfront aesthetics were visually stunning, the experience quickly took a turn for the worse. It’s worth noting that despite being right on the beach, you’re not allowed to walk, sit, or even touch the water; a surprising and disappointing restriction.

From the start, we were seated at a dirty table that I ended up cleaning myself. We ordered the crab dip on a pretzel, which was underwhelming and barely any trace of crab meat.

For our entrees, we both ordered the glazed salmon. I paired mine with seasoned vegetables and mashed potatoes, while my wife had cole slaw and mashed potatoes. The salmon was decent, but I was shocked to discover that both the veggies and mashed potatoes were clearly instant or store-bought ; completely unacceptable, especially for someone like me who follows a strict, low-sodium diet. Frozen, canned, or boxed sides have no place on a menu like this, and I felt ill shortly after eating, likely because these types of ingredients aren’t part of our regular diet.

To make matters worse, service was lacking. Though our waitress was pleasant, we were brought both our starter and entrees with no utensils. I had to go track down forks myself as our food sat getting cold. We also had to ask for water refills, as none were offered proactively.

All in all, this was a very disappointing experience. A beautiful view doesn’t make up for poor food quality and lacking service. We won’t be returning.

We always have a nice time at the Kentmorr. The food is decent and at a good price, the staff is super friendly and it is especially nice in the summer because it's on the water.

We have been coming to Kentmorr for 30plus years and had heard that the restaurant had recently changed owners and management. If there have been changes, they were not dramatic. We got to meet the new owners who are Clark and Jackie Mowrey: Delightful people. Our server Ebby was superb and the food was excellent. We took the food to go and ate it on the boat anchored just off the restaurant's beach to watch the spectacular sunset.

The cod in the fish and chips, didn't taste like cod. Chewy / plastic taste.

I can't drive to Maryland with our going. Food is great but the view or the water and boats is second to none

They take too long to bring you things. It is not recommended to go with children, it is more for adults.
