This place has been always been a go to for many people in the DMV area. A few celebs drop by when their in town. My choices of food have always been catfish nuggets, salmon, chicken dinners with Mac $ cheese and greens. Never disappoint. Sometimes the wait can be a little long due to the rush of patrons. The owner is a really nice guy. Welcoming establishment. My reason for the four stars was because this is not an eat in establishment.

Recently I visited and ordered fish bites and sweet potato french fries. And the food was AWSOME! The employees were hospitable and well mannered, and they have helped to revive the quality of the food. I would highly recommend "Food For Life Cuisine".

This food has gone downhill. All good chefs/cooks taste their food. Especially when cooking in large quantity. I used to love the fried whiting used to be my favorite but it’s just average now. The mac n cheese had absolutely zero flavor/seasoning. And the greens beans were very plain as well. Our generation going down hill. Don’t nobody know how to make mac n cheese no more. Crazy!

Staff was very cordial and offered complimentary samplings of food items for tasting that I haven’t had before. Everything I ordered was delicious. The tea drinks are also very good. It seems as though the restaurant is under new management / ownership and the changes are definitely a plus with added breakfast items as well. I definitely would recommend and will be returning.
Had to modify this review because in recent months whenever I go to order lunch - they are out of food items, and the desserts on the counter do not look fresh. I have decided its not worth the trip because I can never get the menu item want because they are out of it. It's happened too many times so unfortunately I won't be going back.

I usually don’t do reviews of restaurants that I frequent, but I’ve just about had enough of their services and the lack of Salmon for Salmon Croquettes that they should have. It honestly appears that this business is struggling but the customers should not have to deal with this type of service. After trying to give them chance after chance, I have had just about enough of it.And their phone service in not working after calling several time before I wasted gas upon arrival to find out they don’t have any Salmon…. Just pitifulI will close by saying I am no longer supporting this establishment because they lack everything.

Their food is delicious, Chimichunga wrap. Salmon croquettes. I didn't like that there is a 3% credit card charge which I wasn't advised of. And when I mentioned it they were nonchalant about the fee after I had given a tip on a carryout order.
