The Smokehouse Restaurant at Antrim 1844

I had an amazing experience. They were awesome and made it a very special birthday. Food was great, staff was great, and the place was beautiful.

I had trouble with the fireplace smoke because i am sensitive, most people won't mind. Service was great. The salad's raspberry vinaigrette was so tart i couldn't eat. The filet was a wonderful piece of meat but over-salted. I love salt but this was way too much. Dessert and the wild boar were delicious.

Top notch. If you're looking for an experience where you're not waiting in line and you're not feeling rushed because the next seating is due to arrive, this is the place.

Beautiful historic building to explore before dining. Every attention to detail here. Each course carefully created and delicious. Loved the experience!

I have been coming to this restaurant for years.At least once or twice a year , for very special events like valentine's day or birthdays. the quality of food is terrific.The presentation is the best and the only drawback is of course, the price because it is a little bit expensive.But you get a great experience and the waitstaff is superior. i will continue to come to this restaurant and recommend it to anyone that wants a good dining experience and a top notch event.

The Smokehouse is Fantastic! Dining experience not to be missed and perfect for a special occasion celebration. The wine paired dinner is absolutely delicious and you can tell much experience and care goes into it. Highly recommend this restaurant and the Antrim 1844 for an all around exceptional experience!

We had a wonderful experience at the Smokehouse for an anniversary dinner recently. Starting with our welcome at the front door and cocktails in the lounge, everything was very well done. Food was excellent and service was impeccable. We appreciate the lengths that Smokehouse goes to to make the experience quality.

Service and food were excellent. Cost was high but expected. The smell was a little overwhelming as I'm a non smoker and have become accustomed to restaurants being smoke free. Understanding that customers were not smoking but it was a bit much.

We had the most amazing delicious meal. Every course was scrumptious , service was impeccable and we also did the wine pairing. I would definitely recommend this place for a great experience.I will definitely be back !

We have dined here several times for special occasions. And every time it was exceptional...except this time. Service was rushed and less than attentive, which I believe was due to understaffing. This was especially noticeable because we did the chef's wine pairing. The waitress had just to many to take care of. And perhaps by unfortunate luck, every one of my selections was mediocre at best. The dessert (clafoutis) was like vulcanized rubber and inedible...that one I had to send back. She agreed it was overdone. However, I will say that the waitress profusely apologized, replaced my dessert with crème brûlée and remove the cost of our cocktails to compensate. That was appreciated. My husband's selections were all wonderful. Later that night in the pub, some other diners expressed similar feedback. But we will still go back to try the place again.

Afraid to spill the beans about the Smokehouse in the sleepy Hamlet of Taneytown! SHHHHH! THIS WAS AMAZING! I've found my new forever fine dining spot... How have I missed this for the past 6 years!? I've been looking for just such a hidden gem since I moved back to PA and I feel so fortunate to have had such luck. Please come and savor every single bite. It was nothing short of fantastic! Thank you, Chef for an incredible gustatory evening spent in the garden with friends and family... BRAVO!

Besides a few flys that wouldn't go away, we had an amazing time. Service and Food were excellent.

This is a must. Make your reservations early, because it fills up. The service and food were over the top.
