Service and food were excellent. Cost was high but expected. The smell was a little overwhelming as I'm a non smoker and have become accustomed to restaurants being smoke free. Understanding that customers were not smoking but it was a bit much.
We have dined here several times for special occasions. And every time it was exceptional...except this time. Service was rushed and less than attentive, which I believe was due to understaffing. This was especially noticeable because we did the chef's wine pairing. The waitress had just to many to take care of. And perhaps by unfortunate luck, every one of my selections was mediocre at best. The dessert (clafoutis) was like vulcanized rubber and inedible...that one I had...
We've been to The Smokehouse Restaurant several times and every visit has been superb. From the service to the food. From the wine to the atmosphere, everything is excellent. No detail is overlooked. I can't recommend it enough. We'll keep coming back.
