Blue Waters Caribbean & Seafood Grill

Uggh I really hate writing this review because I have supported this place for years, and I have wrote many good reviews, BUT! I ordered a Jerk Salmon Entree, why did I receive brown stew salmon. I want to taste jerk seasoning and jerk spices. I also want my rice and peas to be Shelly, use Jasmine rice not parboiled rice it gets too soft. And my cabbage had no salt, plus it was soft and not crunchy. I wanted to cry ?. If I order Jerk salmon that’s what’s I’m expecting, not a brown stew with lots of grease, (fish &meat sauce) which FYI can give a bitter after taste.

I’m gonna comeback when you guys actually have jerk salmon. Plus it’s hot outside there is no reason someone can’t get on the grill and jerk some salmon !

The food was pretty good. I loved the fried oysters, and the pasta was surprisingly tasty. My fried snapper was good, but the escovitch was not on point. The vinegar was very overpowering, and the veggies were overcooked, but the fish was meaty and fried perfectly. I would recommend getting it with the curry sauce.

The server that we had was great and extremely helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is nice and the drinks were pretty good. They were out of a few menu items that we wanted to try, but it's definitely worth trying again. Impressive compared to many local Carribbean restaurants.

Recommended dishes: Fried Oysters

I have ate here twice. The crab/seafood bisque was amazing 10/10! The jerk chicken was also seasoned very well and cooked to perfection. I will definitely stick to getting the jerk chicken. My only issue is I feel like the sides are underseasoned. I definitely would’ve like to tasted more flavor & salt in the rice and peas & cabbage. The rasta pasta was pretty good as well just needed a little more seasoning.

I loved everything about this restaurant. The vibe is amazing. All of the staff was outstanding very friendly. I was visiting from out of town and was just astonished about the food that was prepared for me and my friend. I was astonished by this fish dish that another couple had ordered, it looked amazing. They said it taste amazing as well. Every single time I come down to this town I will come to visit. Thank you so much for showing me so much hospitality also great amazing food. ??

It appears to be a fairly new restaurant. It was bright and clean. There are two entrances, one to the food ordering counter and sit-down side, and another to the bar. Both areas are open to one another inside. You can order either from the counter, or a server will take your order at the table. In either case, they provide table service. We will return when we are in the area again.

Customer service was poor. I had my order waiting, which was the wrong order. Didn’t realize it until I got halfway home when I looked inside I ordered Rasta pasta only chicken… on the menu it comes rasta pasta with chicken & shrimp… but I’m allergic to shrimp and I stated that when I called, they said no problem they would do only chicken only to get home open it up and nothing but small shrimp… they do not pay attention to detail… the phone rang as I was at the counter to pick up my order instead of them giving me my order. They took the call, proceeded to talk …take the order stayed on the phone explaining everything instead of putting the call on hold & giving me my order.

The food has no seasoning and then they give you the bare minimum. Then you can't order online and have someone else pay and pick it up because they want to see the card you ordered with. They answer the phone rudely too. One and done. The brown stew had no taste, oxtail too sweet, Mac and Cheese was OK, rice and peas bland and dry, cabbage bland.

I really enjoyed my time here ! The down to earth staff, the diverse crowd and the original recipes! I think this is my new local hangout spot! And I can’t forget the phenomenal service especially from Tracey the bartender my girls held it down alone behind that bar !!! See you again soon girl Thursday for karoke!

I never knew about this place until recently. My favorite night is Karaoke Thursday but I came in this past Saturday with 10 others friends and family and had a Great time! Tracye the bartender was absolutely fantastic!! The food was on point and the vibe was great. My new favorite spot and i come all the way from DC just to have a great experience!!
