This place is terrible please don’t go here! When I got there I noticed that the red sign out front of the restaurant was ripped up and holes were torn in it. Not what you see on the reviews hun.
I thought to myself, hey that’s okay, I came for the crabs. Well, that’s weird, I didn’t see any crabs at all at the buffet. So I went and any asked the lady at the cash register and she said they sell crab legs $30 something dollars per pound. Added to the all you can eat buffet which was already $15. THEY DON’T HAVE ALL YOU CAN EAT CRAB LEGS. I didn’t even see the blue crabs.
So I go in and pay for their lunch buffet as normal. The food was cold and looked like it was sitting out for hours. All of it looked tampered with because they never replaced the food. I wanted to try something they can’t mess up, the jello. They had an assortment of colors green, orange and red. So happy, I love jello, when I put it in my mouth there was dirt, hair and all types of objects on it, I had to spit it out. Like someone dropped it on the carpet or something.l At this point I said, I’m done and left.

My friend took me here and the food was pretty good, however the waitress yelled at my friend because he didn't leave a tip, however she yelled before he could get change for a twenty and he changed his mind, it's like WOW! She only refilled his glass twice and often she wasn't around when we needed her, but still a good place to eat

My family and I went to Rio after my nephew graduation ( His choice) I haven’t been to place since they first open so I had no idea the experience I was going to receive. Firstly $22 pp is too much for this place! Secondly the bathroom smell like sewage and the smell came all the way out to the hallway. Thirdly the food selection was bland and look old. The crabs were mushy as they probably reheated yesterday crabs and served, but the fresh batch they put I was better my cousin said. Overall this place need a lot of work. They need to remodel. I’ll never go back to place. Plus the service suck. I hate playing the race cars but they playing us big time. Take your money someone else. Oh and lastly my nephew stomach hurt right afterwards.

My son and i ate there tonight for the last time. Food- they never switch their menu up. If you eat there today they’re going to have the exact same stuff if you come back next month and the month after. The lo mein noodles aren’t shortened at all when they’re prepared which leaves them all over the place and hanging out of the container laying on the counter. The chicken and beef dishes are tough. They advertised that they had horchata. It was flavorless with suspicious froth on top. I switched to sprite. None of their condiment bottles are kept cold. They sit out on the counter all day. The bottle labeled “mustard” was an off orangish yellow. I got the stuffed crab. The shell broke in half in my hand when i picked it up to eat it and it tasted off. Like spoiled off. I spit it out and put the remainder in the shell bucket on the table. The chocolate cake and carrot cake were from Costco and delicious.
Service- the young lady that greeted us and took our payment was very polite and warm. The server didn’t greet us. She was quite rude. The only time she spoke was right before we left. She never smiled or seemed happy to be there or happy that we were there. She literally tossed a stack of napkins on the table. Wouldn't say a word but stood there staring my son and I down until i realized she wanted to know what we wanted to drink. First telepathic waitress I’ve ever had. She consistently would carry the drinks back a little to high with her finger close to the brim for my liking. The staff doesn’t care that the patrons chose to come there when they could have gone elsewhere. They don’t care about the experience. They just don’t care.
Atmosphere- the men’s restroom was atrocious. An overwhelming smell of sewage and excrement hit you as soon as you walk in. The middle stall had feces smeared all over the front of it. My son used the bathroom before we left and he noticed the stall and was even more disgusted than i was. We had been there for an hour at that point. Which says to me the bathrooms aren't being properly maintained. I was suspicious about the rags they use to clean the table. They're reusable. Not disposable. Soaking wet with lord knows what (they don’t use a disinfecting spray like everywhere else). Dishes are always streaky. They have a good dj on friday nights. The chairs are ripped. The tables are wobbly. The ownership and the staff have no respect for their own establishment or the community they’re serving. For what you pay to eat there($20 per person) it’s not worth it.
As soon as i got home i felt ill. My stomach was upset and i felt hot and lethargic. That’s the last time i gamble with my life at Rio Buffet. The servers don't care about the food, cleanliness, or the patrons that spend their money there. The bathroom is unhygienic. God only knows where your soft drinks are coming from. The health department absolutely needs to give this place a long visit.

This is my first time going to the buffet and the food was absolutely horrible. Nothing was warm at all. Everything tasted old. There was a fight that broke out and I didn’t even enjoy my food and the drinks were bad as well. I wanted to refund, but I’m not the type of person I asked for a refund, but I’m very disappointed and it’s expensive and really should be $10 for a person but it’s like $16 per person and it really sucked. It was outrageously bad. Do not go here.!!!!!! the seats were old. It looked like somebody shredded the seats up. When they first sat us, the table was wet, and the seats were wet, which made my pants wet. I’m very disappointed and will never come here again once again do not eat here.

Paid to come in and the Bartender who was the manager immediately asked for my receipt. My friend had the receipt so I showed her my bank statement and she said they don’t accept that?!!!? I told her I could pass around a receipt all day but no one would have privilege to my bank app. So if you are going to this spot. They only want to see a receipt and nothing else no matter who paid. Just putting that out there.
