OMG - five stars is NOT ENOUGH. After working in Mexico for years and returning here I have NEVER had tacos this good in the DMV area. RUN - don’t walk. Between the nopales, the tacos, and the horchata I WILL BE BACK.
This is my favorite kind of Mexican restaurant. Really great, authentic food, a salsa bar, nice staff, and great decorations too. I had the taco dinner which had four tacos. the Barbacoa beef is the best, but the Carnitas is pretty amazing too. I’m already thinking about coming back tomorrow to try their pozole, which looks really amazing.
Food is phenomenal, service is friendly and pretty fast.
Try the mulitas. And if you're a real carnivore the torta cubana is one hefty sandwich.
Dining space is a bit tight, but it's totally normal for a taqueria. It's bright, lively, colorful, and welcoming.
