On the way through Thurmont, MD we spotted Bollingers BBQ restaurant and thought we'd check it out! I'm really glad we did. It's a nice family place with lots of locals eating there. My beef brisket was one of the best I ever tasted: melted in my mouth! My grandson felt the same about his grilled cheese. He said the cheese was melted just right and that there was a lot of it.

Really enjoyed our lunch. Ordered the Reuben, the dirty dog, and a Chicago style Italian sandwich. They were all delicious. Food came quickly and the service was good. Has craft beer and some bbq. We'll be coming back to try some more foods and drinks. Also got the fried green tomatoes for an appetizer. That was good too

What a fantastic casual family restaurant! Carrie and her brother Josh are incredible hosts. We all tried something different and we thought all of our meals were great! Bone in wings, cheeseburger, chicken fried steak, and blt. We also ordered the fried green tomatoes for an appetizer and had a slice of the homemade pineapple dream pie. The quality of all of the beers had everyone happy and appreciated talking with the brewer Josh who gave us a lesson in hops.

On to late lunch/early supper.Off diet for this one. Not much, though.I usually don't like brisket that doesn't come out of my own smoker. But I will admit. Their brisket is delish. .. if you don't want to spend hours at a smoker, this is a great place to get brisket.Pulled pork was great.The turkey, if I'm being honest, was a little bit too dry for my tastes, but most places turkey is dry. I've even had a few dry turkeys come out of my backyard.

I have heard about Bollinger's for years but never visited till now. I was craving a good Rueben sandwich and theirs was delicious. A huge pile of juicy corned beef, melted cheese and just the right about of kraut on toasted rye. I chose the fries and added cole slaw on the side, both had the perfect crunch. We shared the coconut cream pie for dessert and it was to die for. The service was very friendly, attentive and prompt. Looking forward to returning again. That Cuban sandwich looks fabulous.
