Peking Palace Restaurant

I was nearby and had a craving for Chinese food. I'd been there before, never a bad meal. I had Kung Pao Shrimp, got the dinner size to go. It was good, plenty of decent sized shrimp in it, bell peppers, carrots, and of course, peanuts. And don't get me wrong, it was good, but should be spicy (I added fresh cayenne pepper pieces when I got home), and some places use slices of water chestnuts and or ginseng. So, higher prices for these items may have caused them to drop out a few, but I miss them.

Sweet and sour chicken was great. The shrimp egg rolls weren't that good. There was barely any shrimp in the rolls, a lot of cabbage and the roll was tough to eat. Smh. Food was prepared fast but my FAVORITE Chinese dish is Shrimp Lo mein and it was absolutely disgusting. It was drenched in soy sauce. I couldn't eat it and I got two orders for me and my son. I'm sad.

This has definitely got to be the worst Chinese I've ever eaten. The fried rice was undercooked, starchy, and lacking flavor at all I had to literally spit the first bite out. Then the Lo Mein was slimy and had this weird taste I can't even explain. Soy Sauce couldn't even save it. Now the cook did somehow get the broccoli and chicken right and I thought the shrimp raggoon wasn't too bad either. So I'm mixed feelings but ultimately just couldn't trust any more dishes from this place I think.

Great place to eat!I have been eating here since 2010 and have never had any issues.Any of the reviews from that last year and a half talking about leaving their food on the restaurant table are clearly false and targeting since they have not allowed indoor dining since covid started.Absolute bang for your buck. Recommend to anyone.

Meh… I’m rather disappointed in the food I received today. I love dumplings and based my selections for tonight off of other reviewers comments. The dumplings weren’t great. VERY DRY and the meat smelled similar to canned meat rather than ground fresh pork like they use at the place in Emmitsburg. The sauce that came with the dumplings tasted like it was watered down soy sauce with a dash of bbq sauce. Very strange. Vegetable fried rice is something I always order at an American Chinese carry out. The vegetables in the rice were great texture however, the rice was fried with too much soy sauce or and brown seasoning, ruining the flavors you’d usually have with a little less. Generals tso chicken was pretty good. I would only recommend reducing ting the extra sauce and maybe adding some broccoli. Pork egg roll was pretty good as well. The texture was more baked than fried which I’m fine with. It wasn’t greasy and had tons of vegetables with a little bit of pork which is what I prefer. I gave two stars due to having a dislike for pretty much everything I purchased this evening. I will update once I try this place for lunch.

This was the worst ever, if I could give a negative star I would. Ate a half of plate and thru the $56 left over in the trash. Never again!! And don’t get me started on the inside of that palace !!

This restaurant is my number one site. Of all restaurants I know I prefere it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this restaurant. everytime I feel like having a special lunch, this place comes first to my mind. very good and many types of food and a large menu.courteous staff members, and nice atmosphere. Also, the tariff is good. I recommend this place with no doubt.

Irregularly sliced meats cooked to varying degrees of doneness in the same dish. Left most of my food on the table after my meal. Management not helpful. Paid full price for inedible fodder. Never returned

I LOVE PEEKING PALACE!!! BEST CHINESE AROUND AND FOR THE CHEAP PRICE YOU GET ALOT OF FOOD, I HAVE BEEN GOING TO PEEKING PALACE SINCE 2007 AND EVEN THOUFH THERE WAS A 7 YEAR APSENCE FROM THE ESTABLISHMENT, WHEN I WENT BACK IT WAS THE SAME ( slightly different service due to COVID) BUT THE HANDLE THINFS WELL AND I WILL CONTINUE TO EAT HERE...5 STARS ALWAYS

Not recommended. Not a clean or pleasant dining place. Food poisoning and pest problem. Not sure I need to say more

Great food, good price, and cozy place. Good choice for eating out with families or hanging out with friend. They have carry out and dine in. Try it and you will love it!

I was stopping here for a quick bite to eat and was surprised at how good the food was. I would recommend the egg rolls, seafood soup, wonton soup and any of the entre's. There was a-lot of food for the price. Me and my family go there often now. I recommend that you visit this place and give em a tip. This place is awesome and very underated.
