A childhood memory came back to life! The staff is beyond friendly and courteous. The food was amazing and tastes the same as my husband and I remember from when we were kids. Peggy was super friendly with us and gave my son a free token for ice cream!
This new route will be the way we drive going forward on road trips so we are able to eat here each time we can!

We live in an area where Roy Roger’s closed all stores in the 1980’s. Finding the Thurmont Roy Rogers store was not only nostalgic, more so a delicious break from 2024’s fast food options. Service, cleanliness, food quality, fixin’s bar—all reflect attention to detail—not commonly discovered in today’s business environment! Roy Rogers, Dale Evans, Trigger & Bullet would all be pleased. Happy Trails lead to Roy Rogers in Thurmont, MD.

I grew up with Roy Rodgers roast beef sandwiches. I was a sad day when they were bought up by Hardee's/Carl's Jr. I hoped the Roy's roast beef would live on in the Hardee's world. Not to be. Well aparantly there was one franchisee that chose to keep the Roy's theme and menu. I've been able to see they have multiple locations. Awesome. The young and senior folks that seem to make up the team always seem to enjoy their work and have bubbly personalities....
