Today I had a horrible experience at the Famous Restaurant in the Green Acres Mall. I do not recommend eating at this restaurant to anyone. I ordered two large plates and was surprised by the poor quality of the food. I threw away $28 after the first bite. The mac and cheese was made with macaroni and tasted like raw pasta and a liquid cheese with no flavor. The chicken tasted like chicken feathers and a terrible potato that I bit into and almost broke my tooth. It ruined my day. The moment I opened the package and tasted it, I threw $28 in the trash. I took a picture before the meal, a record of the poor quality of the food!! I would not recommend it to my worst enemy!!
All the food is good and fresh, also Jennifer that works there is amazing.
Fill a huge to go container for $9, It is enough for two people. Picture your standard mall food court Chinese food place with different types of chicken, rice, noodles, etc. but unlike every other Chinese food Court place, where you get a meat and either noodles or rice and then they pile your container so high it’s impossible to ever finish. This place gives you the container and you get to pick whatever you want like a buffet. You fill your own dish. And you get to try a little bit of everything if you want to! So tasty! And A smart idea! They even had some mashed potatoes, chicken tenders, and mac & cheese for kids :-). The Bourbon chicken and green beans were my favorite. This place is probably best when busy, when the food is frequently being replenished with fresh batches.
The fish was fried but mostly bread!!! And the broccoli was aweful! It tasted like a bunch of pesticides! If I hadn't left the mall already I would have went back for a refund! Nothing impressive here!?
Fried fish was wonderful—but fried food not that good for you so I balanced it out with 4-5 kinds of veggies. Chicken curry and grilled chicken were tasty. I love that you can fill your own box because you get too much carbs and not enough flavor at other spots. I got a couple plantains for dessert but—I ate them first. Yummy.
Famous Rotisserie and Grill offers a balance between American and Asian flavors. I got the Bourbon Chicken and the accompanied with corn, baked potatoes and green leaves. It was hot and delicious. Get a box and you get whatever you can fit in it. Staff very friendly.
The Bourbon Chicken is good. You fill your container and make sure the lid closes. You pay $5.99 for the small container and $7.99 for the large container. All the food you can get in your container including sides.
The food was amazing and great customer service.I'm so glad the Towson location is finally open. Please open more locations in Baltimore, MD.
