I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the outstanding care I received during my recent visit to GBMC.
I arrived at the Emergency Room on the morning of Monday, July 14, 2025, after experiencing severe, nausea, and difficulty walking without nearly falling. From the very first GBMC staff member I encountered through to my discharge on July 16, 2025, every person I interacted with was professional, compassionate, and attentive.
The team on Unit 45 was exceptional. Their care and kindness helped make a difficult time much easier, and I want to extend a special thank you to the physical therapist, who played a crucial role in helping me begin to recover from the effects of vertigo.
I was especially impressed by the new discharge room, which made the transition home much more comfortable. The heated and massage chairs were a wonderful touch, and being able to have something to eat while waiting for my ride was greatly appreciated.
This experience only reinforced what I already knew—GBMC is an excellent hospital. All three of my children were born at GBMC, so this place already holds a special meaning to me. I also want to compliment the food, which was truly above average—especially compared to what I’ve experienced at other hospitals and medical facilities.
While I still have some recovery ahead of me, I wanted to share my appreciation and recognize everyone who contributed to my care. Thank you all for your professionalism, compassion, and dedication.

Waited in the ER with a loved one for 6 hrs and still had not seen a doctor.

The pizza was nasty. It was supposed to be pepperoni and cheese on it. I don't know what that was, but it was disgusting. They only had 1 slice left and the lady wouldn't make more for 15 minutes. The location of the cafeteria isn't clear from any direction.. the design of this hospital is all confusing. They put a lot of money into the decor, and it's beautiful, but the design of the facility doesn't make sense. I do not like that hospital.

They have people work there saying they will try to hurt whites there but they won't doing nothing about it

had a wonderful experience in the pediatric ER. They have a child specialist who helps with making it easier and fun for the kids and my daughter loved it. The doctor were on top of it. I came in with 3 kids, 1 to be seen and I was out in 2.5 hours. I was just so impressed and thankful for the care!
