I’m typically a loyal customer. This morning I went and stood in line for almost 5 minutes while someone at the counter played on the iPad without acknowledging me. When I asked if she was taking orders, I was told to “hold on a minute.” And then she proceeded to disappear. Pretty disappointing as a customer who was ready to spend money as I ended up leaving.

Cannot say enough great things about this place. Everything I've ordered has always tasted AMAZING and fresh, pastries are phenomenal and not overly sweet, I absolutely love this cafe!

EDITED—Roggenart replied asking me to send my contact info. I’ve done so twice. There has been no reply. Trying to give the benefit of the doubt but I’m not confident at this point. “Our office staff are frequent flyers at Roggenart and have been for years. We are in trial so my paralegal dashed out for a coffee to keep her going. Our case was called early and as she was dashing out, her entire latte spilled on her desk and she was very upset and panicked. I immediately came to Roggevart, explained the situation and asked if her latte could be replaced as she HAD JUST BEEN. The cashier says, that will be 6.82. I said, oh so you aren’t willing to replace her drink. Reply, “we don’t work that way”. Number one rule of business, goodwill and repeat customers as well as treating your customers with care is worth more to your business than $7. Horrible customer service. Our patronage is over. There are lots of good eateries & coffee elsewhere in Towson.”

They were very nice but not worth me getting food poisoning from them. I ordered the smoked salmon fiord at the Roggenart location and that night was throwing up and couldn't eat for 2-3 days. I won't be eating here again

Great experience! Everything is extremely pleasing to the eye, very warm and calm environment. Although there is not much of a menu, the variety of bakery was great. The chai Latte and chocolate chip cookie were very filling and yummy. Additionally, Roggenart is a great place for meetings or online work. Quiet and non-distracting environment. Furniture and bathrooms are clean, with well service. They also offer books and outlets. Temperature was just right, with the employees smiles adding some warmth.

I’ve been coming here for years and I usually love the place. But today the cashier was extremely rude.

I loved this place until I saw a mouse there. The food is good, the place is nice, but that really made me never come back

I would have rated it higher but my melt was a little cold and the socializing going on at the counter was highly annoying. Three people were working. One customer(?) stood in front of one of the two registers for well over half an hour talking to one employee who was making coffees. Another employee joined the conversation after he came from the back instead of using the second register to take orders from customers in the long line. This place would be great with better customer service.

It used to be really good! But today I got completely undercooked bacon (like food poisoning level undercooked) on a sandwich plus a disgusting latte.. so now it’s just overpriced for no reason.
