I’ve been coming here for years and it’s still great every time! They’ve switched a few staff members however it’s still the same great quality food! I’ve always gotten the jerk chicken and rice / peas with extra cabbage! The rice is soft not hard and dry like other places. I get the dark meat chicken w/ the sauce on it and it’s FREAKIN AMAZING! Still my favorite jerk place to eat!
I asked for extra gravy- got no gravy. The said the food was in a warmer that it did out. It looks like they forgot the gravy. Oh no!! Never again, no thank you! I wish I could put a Pic...
I really want to give this place five starz because the flavor is pretty good. I love supporting mom and Pop stores, especially minority own. However, the portions are minimal and the rice and beans taste old. I’ve been here several times but the quality is getting worse. I use to brag about this spot as being one Of the few authentic Jamaican spots, but they no longer stand up to that I’d rather commute all the way to Baltimore and go to Reids shack
First red flag: they didn’t have many options as opposed to what’s listed on the website, I wanted the beef stew then asked for snapper. I was told that they didn’t have either. I ended up just getting the oxtail plate. Secondly, the plate is full of rice. Typically, restaurants will only fill one compartment (the large one) with rice. But the large one and side is filled with rice (which could’ve used additional gravy if they were going to do that) However, the beef patty was really good.
* took the picture after eating some of the oxtails, but still too much rice.
I just don't want to leave when I go there!
They ran out of what I wanted to eat.
Overcharged on the jerk chicken. The menu had another price and during checkout the cashier stated that it's $20 “dinner.” Mind you, I ordered a small. Chicken is salty and burnt.
Not Haut cuisine, but damn tasty, good portion and you can buy tequila mixers!!
This was the best Jamaican food I have had in the area and would highly recommend. Oxtail, Rice and Peas, and steamed vegetables was so good! The gentleman behind the counter was gracious enough to let me sample the rice and peas before buying. Great customer service! I will definitely be back.

I first spoke to reggie the owner on the phone, who seemed friendly to me and I said he welcomed me to visit his restaurant. I decided to venture out there to check it out today. It was a very long drive of about 30 min from my place. I got there right before they were supposed to open, before 11am. I had to wait another 25 minutes before the 'cashier' woman shows up to collect the payment. the chef Winston was there and he promised it was going to be fine.
well after nearly an hour of waiting, I got the food and paid $25.08 for the meal. it was costly but I figure if the food is good I will be happy. unfortunately the portion was very tiny, with small pieces of oxtails and barely enough for even a lunch portion. where I come from in bronx, Brooklyn NY, you can get at least double the portion for the same price. worst of all, the customer service attitude from the lady was not friendly at all . I asked nicely for a receipt after the transaction, the receipt got printed, and she started to play with her IPAD, I didn't want to reach for the receipt printer myself, so I had to ask again, then she impatiently pulled out the receipt and handed it to me.
the overall experience was not pleasant. Unfortunately based on my negative experience I cannot recommend anyone else to visit here.
in today's economy, a qualified customer has many choices in the neighborhood to spend his/her hard earned money.
this restaurant culture to me, does NOT believe in nor encourage and ensure customer satisfaction, courtesy, and loyalty. I am a business owner myself and I feel that having a happy recurring customer is SUCH A HIGHLY VALUED TREASURE, I would ask all of my staff to do anything to retain these customers (NEW AND OLD). Especially if the customer travelled 30 minutes to reach your business, and HAD to wait nearly another 30 minutes due to the lateness of the employee / cashier on duty!
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND! GO AT YOUR OWN RISK.
