This place has really turned around for the better over the past few months. They now offer some decent "bar food" munchies (think “tots”) and the owner, Alex, is really a hands-on kind of guy. The outdoor patio is great fun during the summer months and they've got some great live music to enjoy these days as well. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.
A bunch of us visited here after work. The place is right on Rt. 30, so it is convenient. It is certainly a dive bar with local flavor! The layout is weird. When we went the lights behind the bar were off and I had no idea they had pool tables. I also did not know there was any outdoor area. The bartender was super nice and the drinks were cheap. They do not have food, though, just some bagged chips. There is a small lot on the side to park. They have package goods in their store...
The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that it's a local watering hole, not Coyote Ugly :P It's particularly convenient that they've transformed what used to be the billiard room into a respectably stocked package store. No, it doesn't carry everything, but when all the other liquor store townies go home, the Colonial is usually still open.
