Family friendly environment with great staff and food! They have many excellent choices to try, and then you can come back and try something else.
Great service, awesome selection. All were pleased today.
We like most of the ice cream and snowballs from the bus stop and the service is good. I would stay away from the blueberry snowball syrup, it tastes like someone poured a bottle of perfume on the ice. The marshmallow snowball topping is also way too thin and just dissolves into the ice.
Did we road trip for ice cream? Sure did and I am glad we did! I enjoy finding little spots and this one did not disappoint. They have a large menu. We opted for milkshakes. I opted for an extreme milkshake. Summer special but you get to keep the glass! The milkshakes were all delicious, thick and creamy!
The spot is located at a small market so take time to shop. There is also food options. Guess what they have a petting zoo!
Great shakes and Ice cream
Get the Blueberry Crumble!
Excellent ice cream and their farmers market has great produce. Well worth going to if you are either in or near Hamstead area
So the extreme milkshakes are fun for a picture, but they aren't really good. They're very watery as in too much milk, very little ice cream and they are way too sugary so we made that mistake. But we tried a few of the ice cream they have sourced somewhere from PA? Not hersheys the other i can't remember but it was honestly SO good. The texture was out of this world so we'd be back for that and that only. The people working there were great!
Went to The Bus Stop based on an online article. Atmosphere is very family oriented. Picnic tables set up everywhere to sit. Ended up going at a busy time (3pm) on a Saturday so it took a while to get ice cream. Ice cream looked great and tasted good. Atmosphere was a 3 because there was no set line to order and people had a tendency to stand right in front of the pick up window to wait which caused some flow problems. Bees were everywhere on this day which always makes me nervous. Attached to a cute greenhouse with handmade items and fall plants. It was an hour drive so probably not going to be a regular but it's definitely worth a visit.
Parking: Parking is limited next to the building but overflow parking in the field behind. Walk is up a small hill or gravel drive.
Kid-friendliness: Kids seemed to love it. Dog friendly too.

DO YOU GET TO KEEP THE GLASS OF THE MILKSHAKE
Stop at Chard BBQ first and save half your meal for later. You definitely want to save room for dessert at the Bus Stop. They have so many options from snow balks, to scoops of ice cream to sundaes to decadent milkshakes. Here is my 82 year old mother who decided it was a double dessert day. She had a scoop of peanut butter and caramel ice cream and an egg custard snow ball.
I highly recommend a drive out. There is also a nursery and local market on site.
Kid-friendliness: Outside picnic tables and bathrooms. Along with all sizes to order.
Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible.

The Bus Stop is a nice place to take the family for a snowball, ice cream ?(soft served or hand dip), and milkshakes. They also have a general store. I think that some of the food items inside general store are over priced. I found some of the same and similar items elsewhere for cheaper. The plants are nice. They have a variety of plants to look at and purchase. You can find good prices on the plants if you look. ? Hidden at the end of the plant path and behind the store is a small little farm with a few animals and a playground area (this was not accessible during our visit) and at the front of the general store is a small koi fish pond. Either way my children enjoy visits to the Bus Stop for the treats alone.
Parking: Open medium sized parking lot.
Kid-friendliness: Koi pond for children to look at. Treats and novelties for purchase. They have a small farm and lay ground area, but it was not accessible when we went. It was blocked off.
Wheelchair accessibility: No steps for entrance, so is wheelchair accessible.
