Some of the best pit beef in MD. Stay away from the Carolina gold pulled pork, though. Dry and just not that great. But that is the first bad thing I've had there. Surprisingly, I had a really good Italian cold cut there, too.

I got the smoke wings and pit beef sandwich and I most say there wings are the best Iv had in years I live about an hour away and was up here for a job and stopped in for lunch and I would travel that hour just to get them wings. The pit beef sandwich was great too.
Just had the ribs. They were fantastic!a perfect blend of spices. I agree with the pit master on choice of bbq sauce. Its the middle one on the counter. Im sorry i forget the name.

First time here and I WILL BE BACK!!!! Pit turkey sandwich and NC BBQ sandwich - both piled high and extremely tasty!!!! Oh the fries are to die for too as well as the baked beans. I highly recommend West River Pit!! Excellent customer service and staff is very personable, respectable, and accommodating to specific dietary needs. I fully enjoyed this and I normally don’t write reviews, but this place is worth it!!!!
