This is located in a lovely community service.
Margie (hope I got her name right) is doing an excellent job with a friendly smile even though she had to serve many visitors in a row working non-stop.
Thank you for the great service!

I tried pour-over coffee here for the first time and it was so good I didn’t need cream or sugar. The barista went the extra mile and asked if I wanted to taste the difference between the drip and the pour-over, and wow. I’m so glad I got to experience that. Pour-overs might be my new go-to now. And the turkey and cheese on a bagel? So good and filling. I might have to make this library my go-to just because of the café. I spent $12.66 and it was worth it.

The daughter of the owners was the one who helped me and she was one of the most pleasant people you can possibly encounter. A cheerful disposition and a positive attitude made for a delightful interaction. She also made my drink with care and it was a very tasty Mocha indeed! I had the apple and vanilla custard pastry and it paired with the coffee drink perfectly! If you are looking to get away from the big name coffee shops, give Kefa Cafe a shot… you won’t regret it!

Unbelievably great coffee. High end coffee hidden in the community center. I don’t get the chance to come here as often as I wish.

Really like this library and the fact that they have an awesome coffee shop inside is a huge plus for me. This is good stuff, and far exceeds anywhere else for a mile around.

Best oat milk latte I’ve had just about anywhere.
Chai latte + egg & bacon sandwich was delicious! Very friendly and has been in the area for three decades. Make sure to bring cash!

Disappointing Experience at Kefa Cafe I recently visited Kefa Cafe at Wheaton Library, and unfortunately, it was a frustrating experience. I simply asked for an empty paper cup and was willing to pay for it. The server told me it would be $2.93! I laughed at how absurd that was, and she confirmed it – $2.93 for an empty cup. Seriously? The staff was not friendly at all, and I felt like they were quite intimidating. Their prices are extremely high, reminding me of another Starbucks-style setup with a massive markup. The coffee isn’t special enough to justify those kinds of prices. Just down the street, I can get a 20 oz Colombian Reserve coffee for $1.58! There’s no way the beans they’re using at Kefa Cafe are worth the price they’re charging for a small cup. If Kefa wants to be a part of the community, they need to rethink their pricing strategy and customer service. $2.93 for an empty cup is just ridiculous. I asked 7-Eleven for the same thing, and they told me an empty cup is also $2.98 I'm speculating an empty paper cup only cost about 1 cent! and I was willing to pay .25 cents, this is just out of hand. Honestly, I’ll just stick to making my own coffee at home from now on. The experience was frustrating and left a bad taste in my mouth.

Be careful consuming food at this cafe if you have allergies. My child who is allergic to nuts ordered Hummus on a Bagel in this cafe a couple of days ago. It turned that their hummus contained pine nuts and it was not mentioned anywhere. My child had a severe reaction and ended up in a hospital. It was quite traumatic for our family. They are in the same building as MoCo summer camps. There are so many children around and the food is not probably labeled for containing nuts.

Great Ethiopian coffee and general coffee and chai, plus treats like pastries and even pupusas.Great location: inside the community center which is home to a bookstore, library and common areas where you can relax, wifi and eat and drink.Excellent and friendly service.

Quite the mean guy working here when we visited (and not only to our party he was rude as well to a man behind us). Also nickel and dime you for everything, surprise they don’t charge for the air you take up while at the cafe.
