Copper Compass Craft Distilling Co.

Not sure if you need to make a reservation or book a tour but I’ve shown up twice (7:10 pm on a Sunday and 6pm on a Thursday) and it’s been door locked and no one inside.

Would love to try this place but can’t figure out when they are actually open!

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience! We elected to do the tour with tasting and enjoyed some cocktails at the bar. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and the rum was delicious. I would recommend if in the area!

Hidden gem in Charles County. This place is a vibe. Great drinks and the owner is pretty cool. Very personable and he makes sure you are enjoying yourself!

Rum lovers have to visit! Their craft cocktails will keep you coming back. Take the tour to meet the owner and learn more about rum. Stay for a cocktail and tastings to fall in love with this small batch rum. We liked all of them, making it hard to decide which bottles to get. Appreciated that they didn't add sugar after the distilling process, it made the rum just right on the sweetness level.
Their spiced rum has star anise, adding that extra spice to set it apart from all the other rums I've tried. The lemon drop is the only one they add sugar to after the distilling process, but it definitely tastes great!

I recently visited Copper Compass near Waldorf, MD, a Black-owned distillery. I had an outstanding experience. The venue is perfect for events, boasting a welcoming atmosphere. The bartender was cool, and the patrons were incredibly friendly. The rum and creative drinks were not only tasty but showcased the distillery's dedication to quality. Highly recommend for a unique and enjoyable time#fallynsfoodieexcursions

This place is for real the spot!! Bar tender TK is the bomb. Every drink has been 10/10. Service 10/10. Had the tour from Herm and my guy knows his stuff. Will definitely be coming back soon. Momma yo party coming here.

Tequila shots tasted like my ex-wife’s balls

I really like this place. I hate we didn't come sooner. The co owner was very knowledgeable as he took us on the tour and explained everything fro. Start to finish, with some humor, which my husband and I very much enjoyed. The female bartender was AMAZING her drink creations and suggestions. I absolutely love how it's tucked away and not super crowded. We will definitely come back. It was such a great experience with super friendly staff. ☺️

Just an incredible experience all around! Local, family, veteran, and black owned. The service was amazing for the brunch event and it was very family friendly with Santa Claus and a photographer onsite for pictures. The rum is crafted onsite and was absolutely delicious; you can’t go wrong with any of their cocktails and the Pineapple Painkiller? . Run not walk here you won’t be disappointed! I look forward to returning soon it was the worth the drive from DC.

Do yourself a favor and visit Copper Compass. The facility is beautiful and tastefully decorated. The customer service is top tier and the drinks are phenomenal. It’s a great place to hang and watch a game or to host an event. We had a small gathering for my husband’s birthday and all of our guests loved Copper Compass.
