When you walk in, it’s jaw dropping beautiful. It reminds you of a Frank Lloyd Wright restoration. Great drinks menu and the food was outstanding.

This place is terrible, honestly. I’ve tried to give them a 2nd chance THREE more times and each time they’ve closed their kitchen an hour before closing due to “running out of ingredients”. We went for first time on Valentine’s Day, and the meal service took 3 hours. I’m not kidding. Our server was very rude as well. We didn’t even order appetizers. They were also out of every side I ordered then as well, so clearly they are just never well prepared, which stinks because the food is very good. Best chicken Marsala I’ve ever had. Hopefully one day we can go back and have that chicken Marsala again.

This place is an awesome new find that we have become a regular approved location for a great meal. We all have those places we don't have to think twice about when suggested. The atmosphere is above five stars, not too quiet that you're afraid you're being too loud and enough chatter going on to not feel stuffy. The service deduction was for two small reasons, but they are important for wait staff to excel at their career. Yes, I said career. Wait staff can support households on their incomes if we tip accordingly and the service is as needed. The two items were our water glasses were never filled a second time when that was the only drink ordered by one of us, but I was asked if I needed another beer. Second, there are two haddock dishes on the menu, and we received the wrong one, unable to tell until the wine sauce was discovered under the crumble on top.

The drinks are expensive, and watered down. Food is good. The host Jimmy seemed intoxicated . Expensive.. the Cobb salad was wilted lettuce

Ordered our regular take out go to: Sticky chicken fingers with hot sauce on side and onion rings. Usually very good. That’s why we get it time and again despite the price being a little steep. This time, chicken was overcooked and onion rings were chewy and seemed like they were made with just the outer rings of the onion. Quite disappointed this time. New cook? We’ll be a while before we return.

We Traveled to Maine for Friends and Family Luncheon Gathering at the Oak Street Bistro . Our Maitre'd' James Escorted us to our Table. We placed our Drink and Appetizer order with our Waitress Marie who was Awesome ?!. Appetizers: ? Onion Rings, ? Shrimp Cocktails, Bruschetta, ? French Onion Soup, Fish Chowder ?, Caesar salad with Grilled Chicken and ?Bang Bang Shrimp ? they were Delicious and the Drinks were Ice Cold ❄️. Now to the entrees ?Baked Haddock, ? Scallops and Penne, ?Steak Tips, ?Filet Mignon? and Sticky Chicken Tenders everyone enjoyed there Meal ?. But don't forget the Dessert and let me tell you that the ?Homemade Bread Pudding ? was Excellent as was the?? Homemade Cheesecake ? and Cream Brulee ??. The Service was Great ? and our Waitress Marie was Awesome ?. Highly Recommend Oak Street Bistro!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A nice gem of a place in Alfred Maine to get good food at reasonable prices. The place is easy to get to with plenty of parking. The service was very good and the bathrooms were clean. I and my dining partner enjoyed the following meals:
Fried Haddock Fish sandwhich with fried onions and an iced tea.
Haddock fish tacos with French Fries.
I highly recommend this place to get a good meal !!!
