Awesome ice cream and great service

So I visit this establishment quite often and the last 3 visits were extremely disappointing!2 Issues:First off; I always buy several pints an they are all hard serve; The size height of the containers has changed, they say it’s still a pint because the width was changed.. however I believe that to be B.S. as i still had an old container in the freezer and compared the lids and they were the same. The widest part of a container is the top, if the width had actually changed, the old lid would not have fit. That’s issue number 1.Second; Your “Hard Serve” isn’t hard at all, it’s soft and even after putting it in a freezer for a day, it’s still soft. Your “Hard Serve” was so soft, I almost could have drank it through a straw like a milkshake.”!That’s issue number 2.Please go back to how you used to be, I loved your Ice cream.—————————————————————————(I read Owner’s response to my review in a calm demeanor as my original review wasn’t posted with malice or anger; I put out an honest post of what I felt from the last 3 times I’ve purchased their products):Owner’s response:The new pints are wider so they can share the same lid as our quart container. My Response: I said your new “pint container” width is the same as the old pint container width, I made no mention of your quart container; new lid is the same as the old lid, put on a smaller (height wise) container.. which makes it LOOK like we’re getting less than an actual pint!Owner’s response:I don't really care what your thoughts are on the subject. You're completely wrong and we don't appreciate you desperaging our business because of your inability to understand volume and units of measurement. My response: Thanks for being immature and verbally attacking a reviewer. And you “don’t care what a customers thoughts are about your product”.. sounds like piss poor customer service. As long as you’re still making your money.. you just don’t care what anyone thinks or says, yeah you sound like a great owner (sarcasm; since you can’t READ tone of voice. Which is probably what you did when you read my review.. seems like you read it in a negative tone and got defensive an felt the need to retaliate. How very mature of you ?? ?)Owner’s response:As for the ice cream. If you drive it home, in your 70 degree car, it will melt. You can count on that. We have not changed one single aspect of our ice cream production. Same mix, same ingredients, same finished products in the buckets of our dipping cabinets. My response:I understand ice cream starts to melts as soon as it’s taken out of a freezer; which is why I bring a cooler with massive ice packs to ensure it doesn’t melt. And even though I do that, I know that it takes a few minutes for it to actually start to soften up and yet.. as soon as it’s handed through the window to me.. I can feel how squishy the container is and it wasn’t like that a year ago. I could grab the container from the window person an feel how solid the Ice cream was and I am telling you it’s different! I could easily squeeze the container as if there was cotton candy inside, instead of HARD SERVE ice cream! And I know that ice cream won’t stay super hard in a cooler because it doesn’t get as cold as a freezer, but that still doesn’t matter as I live less than 5mins away.So now we’ve established that your response has no ground to stand upon; You’re rude to people who review your store and product; You don’t care about customer service; You easily get offended and defensive; You’re Immature and like to attack an honest review of a customer’s experience at your store.(An once again here’s some sarcasm since you can’t read tone of voice in a text: You sound like a “GREAT” owner!)

Cash only was a little daunting. The ice cream was ok. Had to pay for a cup when we bought a cone because it was melting everywhere.....Really?!

Best ice cream around! Both soft and hard serve are amazing ?

Good atmosphere. Definitely a new feeling compared to the OG Saco location. Keep in mind this place is cash only but they have an ATM as well. The sizes are huge too. Baby is a medium at any other ice cream place.

Horrible service, I ordered a black raspberry shake with chocolate sprinkles and got what was clearly a raspberry shake and even tasted nothing like black raspberry and the worker made me open my shake for her and continue to tell me that it’s black raspberry when it’s not because I’ve had the black raspberry multiple times but she insisted it was black raspberry and only gave me a cup of sprinkles

Great ice cream! The baby size is huge. It is cash only though.

Top price for "meh" soft-serve and they're cash-only. Nothing special here. ?

I cant believe the hype this place gets. We got 3 quarts of different ice creams, and I couldn't believe they didn't mistakenly just give us 3 qts of vanilla. The cake batter has no cake in it, it's just vanilla with rainbow sprinkles and the salted caramel brownie has no caramel and no brownie ... again, just tastes like vanilla. So lazy.

The size discrepancies are awful. Large used to be a full dish. Now a large is half a dish. All depends on who is filling jt. Sending messages to management fall on deaf or uncaring ears. We have stopped going to the Auburn location. I have heard Sabattus is more reliable but we are patronizing other places now. Again, I doubt they care.
