We LOVED our spontaneous trip to Luchador Tacos! We have driven past the location in Auburn several times but never lined up the time to visit. On a trip to Lowes, we realized we were finally there for dinner time. I am so glad we stopped. First of all, the flavor of the food is incredibly robust. We both had the taco sampler and the pork carnitas was OUT OF THIS WORLD. It was our mutual favorite. However, my boyfriend thought the carne asada was a little too salty but I didn't--my mouth is still salivating over the rich and umani flavors from that meat. And the chicken taco was moist and simple. All that to say that the portions of these were STUFFED with all the goods--when I get street tacos in Portland, it's like $6 for a whimpy amount of meat. For about $4 a taco, it ended up being more like two street tacos worth of food shoved into one. I only could eat half of each. Value, flavor, great location (easy parking!), and a very very clean restaurant made this our new favorite spot--we'll be grabbing tacos on every trip into Auburn for sure.

An absolute gem of a taco/burrito spot. The staff was very friendly, environment is family friendly and clean, but my meal was beyond my expectations. I had a steak bomb which had pickled jalapenos, French fries, and a cheese sauce combined with steak and it was an experience I look forward to again. I also had a taco trio to get a more broad spectrum of the flavors offered, and every ingredient was fresh and perfected in the recipe. I was truly impressed with my experience.

Great food but service can be very slow. You can get there and be the only one in line or in the restaurant and you can wait 20 mins before someone takes your order while they work future online orders which is a bit frustrating. Still better overall than chipotle.

The food and service was great. The music was a tad too loud for easy conversation.

Have bought a few meals there. Got the chicken bowl recently. It wasn't very good so I won't bother going back.

Restaurantji Recommends
Coming from living on the west coast for a few years, this is the best place in Maine for a burrito. I’ve gone maybe six times and never have been disappointed. I think I prefer these burritos over any I have had in LA even. The pork and hot salsa is on another level! Always amazing

Best burrito I have had and great prices. Yummy!
When I go, I usually get the pork taco but as a burrito and I highly recommend adding more of those delicious pickled onions and for it to be made by Hailey! That burrito they made was PHENOMENAL especially after a long day of work!
