The beer was very good and the bartender, Andy, was polite and professional, we really appreciated his service. However, I’m giving 3 stars due to an issue we experienced during our visit.
My husband and I came in around 8:45 PM, just 15 minutes before last call, and ordered two beers at the bar. While we were enjoying our drinks, two female staff members, who appeared to be off-duty, were having a loud conversation nearby about the large tips they had received that day. One of them mentioned a regular couple who tipped her very generously (even sharing the exact amount out loud, which I’ll leave out here out of respect for their privacy) and how she always tries to get their table because of how great they tip.
As someone with restaurant experience myself, I was surprised to hear this discussed so openly in front of customers. In my previous workplace, staff were always advised to avoid conversations about tips or money in public areas, as it can come across as unprofessional.
We quickly finished our beers and left by 9 PM. While the drinks and service were otherwise good, I would recommend some additional training for staff on maintaining a professional environment, especially when it comes to conversations within earshot of guests.

Just passing through Bangor and had to stop for fish and chips. Our server Mikki was so warm and friendly. We couldn't believe the portions! It was huuuge. The breading was a little thick for me but it was airy and crispy. Delicious food, great service. Also loved the pinball, art, and rainbow flag on the wall. Thank you!

From the beer, to the staff and the food....hands down The BEST experience so far in our adventure from Ohio!! Tim was so knowledgeable about beer and helping us hopefully acquire a tin tacker! Our waitress Mikki was so friendly and fun! We highly recommend Bangor Beer Co! You will not be disappointed!! Thx again!!

Great experience all around. The food was fresh and tasty—the fish and chips were especially good, perfectly crispy and flavorful. I had the Juri IPA and it was a nice, well-balanced beer. The service was friendly and attentive. Definitely a spot worth visiting.

What an amazing place. My friends and I came here because they were awesome enough to host Bangor's first drag show. It takes such courage to be a pioneer for the drag and Q+ community in Bangor, and the show was made all the better through their amazing food, drinks, and service. I can't wait to return here at yearly at MINIMUM to attend the annual NYE drag show. I think I've found my new favorite spots to get drinks and enjoy immaculate vibes. Get yourselves to BBCo and understand what the hype is all about!!

We waited at a table for 20 minutes and were never greeted by a server. They all stood around the waitstation but couldn't be bothered to even bring us water. Will not be back
