As soon as you walk thru the door you are greeted with a warm help. Service is fast and on point. Prices are a bit high but you're paying for good food. The space to sit is limited but the turnover is fast.

I love the food, and the service is usually pretty good. Sometimes they’re slow and not as attentive to customers in the store, may just be the particular staff they have on at certain times.
Kid-friendliness: They’re always really nice to my kiddos and they love going to Firehouse.

You cannot beat Firehouse for quality. If you want a sandwich that tastes like a sandwich and not a garbage bag, go here.
Kid-friendliness: This place is built to give the vibe of a fire-station. If your kid likes firetrucks they will LOVE it here.

Always great sub's. You really can't go wrong with Firehouse. Everything is made fresh to order, the bread is nice and soft and they put a decent amount of meat on the subs

Thanksgiving sub was ok. Too much stuffing not enough turkey or cranberry sauce. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was good. Really need to do more about ventilation with food being cooked in ovens. Very Smokey inside, fans placed on counter do nothing. Doesn’t make it inviting to dine inside.

I have never met a sandwich I didn't like until last night. I am so disappointed in the quality of what I got. I ordered online hours in advance to be able to pick up at a specific time. I arrived and the food was not ready which wasn't the problem as places get busy but the 20 minute wait for them to start my order after the time for it to be ready had passed was. There was 5 employees that could be seen and it was not busy. Four large sandwiches for 70 dollars. Each sandwich was not correct and missing items. 2 of the items did not have any condiments at all, the side condiments requested were not given, the ham was so sweet that it tasted like a dessert and a salad which was filled with rotting lettuce...this was my first and last experience with firehouse subs. For 70 dollars and a sticker on the bag that assured the order was checked for quality and completeness, I am disappointed.

I hate giving one star reviews but this was a bad experience. Four sandwhiches and each one was missing something on it.
The meat seems the same as hillshire farms deli meat which was not what I was expecting for the price of the meal. Overall just a bland, mushy experience. Also, the ham is far too sweet and slimy. The salad has rotten lettuce.
The staff was really nice and I don't blame them for my experience.
If it takes them 30 minutes for one sandwich when they're not busy, imagine how long it takes when they are🤦♀️
The food is great! The workers were also nice

We don't have Firehouse Subs near us in MA so when we are in Bangor, my husband likes to come here before we head home. It seems easy enough to NOT add an ingredient to a made-on-the-spot item, but the last two visits either my daughter or I have asked for "no pickle" or "no pepper", leave the store with our order, and then find the unwanted ingredient when we stop to eat. And the person taking the order repeats it back so I know it's being noted. The counter is so high you can't watch them make your food to make sure they are following the instructions. Also, the potato "soup" is very good but it's really more like chunky mashed potato.
