Small hole in the wall in the middle of a tiny strip mall. Provides pastries to several of the local small breakfast spots. This places tries very hard and seems to be in one state of remodel after another. Service is happy and up beat. They are on the level of Frank's but much smaller scale.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Gosselin's Bakery in Bangor, Maine. Their listed hours are from 6 AM to 11 AM, so I called just before 9 AM to place an order for a dozen donuts because we were planning to arrive in about an hour. We were in a hurry trying to catch a flight, and I thought ordering ahead would be a good idea. However, the employee I spoke to was extremely rude and unhelpful. He informed me in a curt manner that he would be out of donuts by the time we arrived and that he would be closing over an hour before the listed closing time of 11 AM. When I asked if I could place an order over the phone, he simply told me, "No, we don't do that, we only accept cash and I won't be here by the time you get here."This response was not only unprofessional but also incredibly disappointing. We had been looking forward to enjoying these donuts for the past few days, and all five of us in the group were appalled by the employee's attitude towards potential paying customers. It's truly disheartening to encounter such discourteous service when all we wanted to do was patronize the bakery and enjoy their products.I would strongly caution anyone considering a visit to Gosselin's Bakery to think twice about it, as our experience left us with a sour taste in our mouths, both literally and figuratively.

We went here after working a long 12 hour shift. There was a pickup truck parked outside the front door with a gentleman coming and going out of the bakery several times and even standing beside the counter the whole time we were ordering not sure who he was or what he doing. Then, there were these plexiglass partitions with handwritten notes taped stating, "Don't touch the glass and cash only. There was a glare on the plexiglass, making it hard to see the selection of donuts so we had to step to the side of the counter opposite where the guy from the pickup was standing, plus the donuts were not labeled so we asked the lady that was working and it was like an inconvenience for her to tell us each kind donut. We explained that this was our first time in, and she still didn't offer any suggestions. Another customer recommended a donut from the front case, so we requested one, and the worker stated that these are $3 each, but if that's what you want, ok?...So long story short very uninviting, rude employee, inconvenient (cash only), and lastly the donuts were that great. Plus, I'm from the south, and a bakery has all kinds of baked goods, not just donuts. Save yourself time, money, and frustration go somewhere else.

Best donuts on the planet. We're originally from Maine but moved to Florida. Florida does not have real donuts!

I am from the donut capital of the US and I can confidently say you have the best glazed donut ever!

Called on the phone to order a dozen donuts, she's complaining to me saying there's a long line and that she doesn't have time to take my order and that she is the only one there. Okay fine, understandable, been there before! I drive from Hampden to the store. I arrive there and forgot my glasses, there was no line, I told her that I wanted a dozen but I'm not familiar with the store so I'd like a variety of donuts. It's hard to see the options because I forgot my glasses and also the glass thing in the front had a glaze on it, making it harder to see. I first asked for a cinnamon sugar plain and I took a tiny bite to see if it was any good. I asked politely for her to name the options for me. She goes "I'm not going to read all of that for you!" I explained to her politely how hard it is for me to see and that this was my first time here and that it's unnecessary of her to be rude. She said "I'm not being rude, if I'm being rude then I guess I'll be rude and not take your order." Then she goes out back and gets a phone call and answers it. I'm assuming the person on the phone was asking her if she's all right and she replied "yeah I'm okay"... I get it if you were having a rough day, but I did not deserve to be treated that way. Then you had the audacity to ask for money for the one donut I got, I told her no, you can keep it. That cinnamon sugar one wasn't any good anyways, so I guess you saved me a few bucks, I can thank you for that!

Amazing place. The last was extremely nice and the selection was great. Came here for my daughter's bday, we did donuts. We tried w dozen of the donuts and I had gotten one of every turnover they had and couple of their bigger specialty donuts. Everything was great from the food to the service. Go try them for yourself!
