Went here for the first time in October. Went back because the Miso Soup was REALLY good... second time around it tasted like dirty dish water. Even my boyfriend tasted it... i took him there to try the miso soup so he got a big bowl as his meal... very disappointed with my second visit and probably wont be coming back due to us both getting food poisoning afterwards... sad because I thought this was the spot. I dont know if new management has taken over or what, but I am too scared to go back and try again. Server was friendly, and the atmosphere could have been a bit cleaner.

An easy recommendation for Asian fusion in the area. Decent prices, good food and nice styling and atmosphere. I have been coming here for years and it is always great. Pictured is one of the regular sushi platters and chicken teriyaki.

Absolutely tasteless sushi. I got 2 orders of the Shrimp Tempura and 2 orders of the Spider Rolls. The rice was mushy and nothing tasted fresh...at all. Granted cooked rolls are warm, the rice shouldn't have been so waterlogged. Even the ginger, which I never eat, was almost...fake? I have never had such bland sushi. Definitely not worth a $47 price tag. I can't imagine the other sushi options tasting much better.

It’s not worth the price you pay. It was overpriced but the quality of the food is not good. Been to many sushi restaurants because I’m an avid fan of sushi and this restaurant truly disappoints. I usually never leave reviews like this but I’m definitely not letting this go.

We ordered a Lover’s Roll, Yellowtail Roll, and Mongolian Beef dish. First mistake was we were given a crab roll instead of yellowtail. However, the Lover’s Roll is one of their specialty rolls but was lackluster and brown on the bottom. Fish was fine, but for the price of the roll, it was thin, wasabi was gray/green, and the ginger was dried up. We spent $80 with tip and was left horribly disappointed for how expensive it was. You’d get a better roll from the sushi takeout counter in hannafords after it sat for days. I’ve traveled to Asia with my wife, we eat sushi regularly, and this was one of the worst experiences in Maine, and we know we are in MAINE. Mongolian beef was decent, but mainly onions and peppers.

Our server was very attentive and food was great. However manager seems very unprofessional, was raising his voice and snapping at servers during our meal.

This has been my favorite sushi place in Bangor that I have found so far. I go here often for the service, the ambiance, and the food. As a California girl, I've had all types of quality sushi from the cheap and sad sushi to bank-breaking omakase. Green Tea is at a good comfort level of good sushi at a medium price range. Not mind-blowing sushi like I've had at other places but still very good for the middle of Maine. I've come here to dine with 1 person but have also come to dine with 12 people. Green tea is very good at accommodating your party and taking early reservations for large parties. I always especially love the private rooms for small groups where you can close the door, and, whenever you need the waiter/waitress, you flip the light switch and the red lantern outside your door lights up alerting the staff that you request their services. The restaurant tries to stay true with all Japanese decor. I love the selection they have for their menu. There's something for everyone. Even a large drink menu. If you order any of the boat sushis, you'll get this beautiful presentation of your sushi on their large bamboo boats. Or, if you ordered enough sushi rolls, they might put it on a boat anyway! I've also never found a dessert I didn't like.

I had to explain how to make Inari sushi because they didn’t know what I was talking about when I ordered it, although its on their menu, when they brought the dish out it was just the tofu pocket whith a tiny ball less than an inch in diameter, of rice stuffed inside. Then when I was ready to leave they informed me that they couldn’t run my credit card right now because the internet was out, do to the recent storms, and they would run it later. I said that was fine, signed the order not the credit card slip and handed my waiter a twenty for the tip, since there was no where to write in a tip. When I checked my account activity it showed I was charged more than what the bill showed. Of course I have no receipt to dispute it since i signed it and gave it back to th;e waiter.I can only assume the extra amount they added to my bill was for a tip, the tip I had already handed to the waiter. I would not recommend this restaurant for the sheer fact that they stole from me.

My only visit (so far) was a good experience. The place is clean, smells fresh and is perfectly lit. The food ordered was good, a little on the speedy slide but certainly did nbot lack in flavor at all. Rather liked it and they are on my list of places to visit again as I eat my way through the area. Great sushi!

So far this has been the best sushi so far in Bangor. Service is a bit lacking. Could be a bit better. The ambiance is that of a Japanese restaurant and strives to take you to Japan. We will be back. From the outside it looks a bit strange.
