This is a sandwich shop within the Bangor Maine airport. Ample selection- food is good. This is one of the few options for food within the small airport. No frills. No table service but friendly staff at counter while ordering. If at Bangor Airport, good to go here. Good option.

It's the only game in town, so it's this, or nothing!We both got the Clam Chowder ($12.45 each) served without a single clam in either bowl! Taste suspiciously like Progresso, minus the clams.Staff are friendly, attentative, and helpful. Excellent, in fact.Can't say the same for the food, although the crackers were awesome!We generally stay clear of airport food, but had no choice with a long flight ahead of us. Bring a sandwich with you and enjoy! ?

"Welcome to Bangor National Airport," begins the disembodied male speaker system above your head, as he goes into detail about COVID-19 safety measures. We're halfway through our meal now, and slowing down. //Clam Chowder// This is a wonderful selection! Real taste of the canned chowder I used to get from Costco. And when it's Costco quality... It's pretty great. I'd eat it again later today. //Sweet Chili Chicken Bowl// The steamed broccoli is really tangy, thanks to the sweet+sour sauce. Carrots too, but they've lost their intended flavor in the rehydration process. The rice sticks to your takeout container. Everything is wet. This meal is actually okay. //Chicken Tenders// (not pictured) Comes with enough fries for three people. You get five generously-sized chicken tenders, they're nothing to -keep- coming back for, but you'll end up in the airport cafe again. And $11 chicken tenders will be there. //Sandwiches// Standard fare, no frills approach. Not half bad, from what my cousins say!

Right before going to security line. Seems to be the only restaurant open before hitting the security line. Hamburger surprisingly good. Local beers and other alcohol available too.

Basic airport fare. Quick service. The only place to sit and eat at the airport. The 4 Points Hotel also has a place to eat but they have very limited hours, leaving the Highlands Grill as the only option for a majority of the day. Sandwiches are decent with fresh ingredients. Staff is cordial and the seating area is clean.

Best airport food. I look forward to to grabbing a bite here every time I'm flying. Their lobster rolls compare to the best. People are friendly. I'm always sad when I'm at the airport and they are closed. Headed out on a flight today - hoping they are open! I wish their phone number was somewhere online. Edit: I just read other reviews including the 1 star review... go dine in Afghanistan if you can't show a little sacrifice and appreciation for the large sacrifices made for your freedom and safety.

The name is Highlands Grill. It is located inside the airport, on the second floor, outside the airport security area. They serve breakfast and lunch. You order your food then sit down and come get your food when your number is called. Clam chowder was very good. Grilled cheese was excellent, with lots of cheese and butter. Prices are high, as you would expect inside an airport.
